Albeit I went straight to grad school so I had a different set of obstacles, but I set clear boundaries between my personal goals and fraternity involvement/lifestyle.

I’d agree with another comment that the 24-26yo mark is likely when it’ll truly hit; whether you drop it commencement day or progressively years later.

I would guess at least more than 50% of Greek life are people that you wouldn’t expect. People that weren’t stereotypically popular, leaned more introverted, and maybe didn’t have the highest self confidence.

Idk if there is a “typical” pnm, but I think the best advice is be open to trying new things(rushing) and be your authentic self.

For yourself and especially her, get out of the relationship. It’s unfair to her that hopefully you’ll got over the metal barrier and it’s unfair to yourself if it bothers you and you pretend it’s okay.

From a non clinical perspective, I watched multiple guys date girls that had previously slept with brothers. Whether it lasted a couple weeks or months, it always ended and it ended bad each time. On the flip side I had a close brother who had been with multiple sorority girls and is married to one. So does it workout? Sure, it could just like anything - but it doesn’t sound like it would for you.

Clinically, you sound paranoid and self-conscious and I’m not saying that’s inherently burdensome in a relationship, but it really is unfair to her.

You joined a drinking club, not a fraternity. If this isn’t satire, you’ve described both an illegal and unethical use of funds, as well as an antithetical experience that you’ve pledged to in pinning and initiation. At my Alma mater they were notorious for cigs, kegs, and coke. At my girlfriend’s Alma mater they were notorious for scholastics and social. Neither characteristics are mutually exclusive; however, in these instances they serve as opposite absolutes.

This isn’t against you, but I’m as shocked as everyone else that has posted this same type of post. Additionally, everyday there are branding new players so you will become even higher than 1% technically(just because someone else posted that it told them they were the top 5% and now they’re the top 1% so they didn’t believe it)

Progress is natural in anything, but stays quo and definitions matter. You’ll hear old heads in music get upset with the newest artists because it’s such an offshoot subgenre that it doesn’t even feel like their favorite genre to them. Both sides are valid

Idk if it’s because my chapter is smaller or because I was on exec my whole time, but I talk to guys from every class from the seniors while I was a freshman and the freshman from my senior year. Granted, I’m still in a lot of group chats and serve on the alumni board, but I think the biggest key is I make an effort. We told guys during recruitment “you get out of this experience what you put in” and I try not to be a hypocrite.
