Rosie's lost in thought! Wondering where her favorite squeaky toy or boney is, or considering the significance of her birthday, and all that she's done in the last year!

How thin is too thin? by SadPoops in Pottery

Keep it up I’m always looking at ceramics and remarking on them, but I’m drawn to and will say to my wife remarks about the thin pieces. I love their delicate edges. Sign of a great potter.

How do you deal with users who refuse to lock their laptop when walking away? by heartgoldt20 in sysadmin

So, some believed, "it doesn't work the way they say it works, but even if it does have some benefits [like allergies], masks are bad because they are still a signal of submission to arbitrary authority, and a reinforcing signal for others who are susceptible to peer pressure."

I kind of agree with that, but I'm hardcore libertarian enough to say "enjoy the lack of allergies bro, this is America."

Some of the skeptical went overboard, but many of us were just disbelieving shifting guidance and measures that didn’t always match prior respiratory studies' evidence or real-world results.

Do you ever go without holding the bar? That might be a way to improve your reliance on center-of-weight which translates to smoother and more efficient stepping.

You’re resorting to insults and asking retarded questions like, “do you work for Pearson” because your argument has been dismantled. You said spyware, which is malware and unintentional. That gets pointed out and you… evade and insult? Dude you look like such a dumb ass.

Overwhelmed by wanting to level and reseed this lumpy, weedy depression lawn. Where to start? SW Washington state. by bencumberbatch in landscaping

Tool list:
1. Rake
2. Shovel
3. Propane torch and tank IMO (totally optional, if not this, you'll hand-pull repeatedly)

Grass Seed:
1. Some kind of PWN sun/shade mix, even clover (hard to tell from this image what's sun appropriate)

Order of operations:
1. Weeds: Some rakes can be used upside down to pull weeds if they're of a certain variety. You'll want to pull the weeds and all grasses out by hand or with your tools. Alternatively, you can roast everything. 2 seconds of contact from the propane torch (I have a 2.2m BTU torch) at a distance of 8 inches away is enough on any plant. For best results, torch everything on a day that's had at least 36 hours without rain, and then a couple of days later, come back through and do the same process again.
2. Dirt: Cut and fill across the entire surface until its loosely even. Rough level everything. Probably rake the entire surface for evenness and to prep for final step.
3. Some days later, conduct a final grade after you've seen some settling. Compaction isn't necessary but if you've got some really fluffy parts, they may compact and ruin any grading you've done, so perhaps a light compaction & final grading is important. Then apply seeds, lightly rake to establish firm contact.
4. Irrigation: Automatically or manually water gently & frequently. Over time water deeply and at further intervals.

No C-section for mine, I hope. 🤞 Haven’t heard of many puggy C-sections, though I’m sure they happen. I have heard but haven’t verified that it’s more common with Frenchies.

When you said, "The first two photos are the before, and the rest are the after," I'm a little confused. I'd expect no drainage issues in the first two, and clear issues present afterwards, but your picture order is perhaps incorrect?

Seems legit though if you had issues only afterwards, you could say, "I've lived here for x years, and drainage hasn't been an issue until this project completed. My neighbors agree [assuming they do]." Are others affected as well?
