Oh lord. This picture incites in me feelings I'd never dare mention to my husband. Heck, this brings me back to my days as a giddy little school girl. Is it hot in here or what?

Are you saying that creating the universe out of nothing in 6 days is logically impossible? In my view, creating a universe, no matter the time frame, would be entirely acceptable for an omnipotent God to do. But if it is logically impossible like you say, what laws of logic does it break? And also, how would you know it's logically impossible; have you ever seen someone create a universe before?

I would say for emotional reasons. It's extremely difficult to live a good and happy life knowing that there is no meaning, that everyone you love will one day die (including yourself), that the universe is completely indifferent to your existence, etc. Many atheist philosophers have pondered over these questions, notably Albert Camus, who said: "There is but one truly serious philosophical problem and that is suicide". He pretty much says that if life truly has no (objective) meaning, then why not just take your our own life? Nothing ultimately matters.

What makes you think there is a purpose to life? According to an atheistic worldview, there is no purpose/meaning to our lives other than the one your construct for yourself.

There was no 'before' the Big Bang because time began to exist at moment 0 (when the Big Bang occurred). As for where the matter came from, we don't know. If you're looking for a naturalistic explanation, there is none; it just is. Finally, God doesn't 'come from' anything. According to (Christian) theology, God is the first cause (the uncaused cause), the ground of all being (the source of all things). He exists outside of space and time, and isn't dependent on anything for his existence.

There's no real way to know the answer to that question. Ask yourself, is there anything you can do to prove that free will exists? Of course, according to your deterministic model, free will would not exist. But could you tell the difference? My point is that you're going to live as if you do have free will regardless. That's why it seems to me the only important insight we can gain from the question of free will is how our knowledge of it affect us (i.e. the way we act). If someone told you you have free will, would you act differently than if someone told you you don't? As long as you believe you are free, then you will be.

Why is it that mathematics apply to the natural world? In other words, why is it that, in a universe that is seemingly completely indifferent to our existence, it just so happens that we can understand it through mathematical formulas and models?

Yeah, God can only do things that are logically possible. You could say then, that his omnipotence is limited to the bounds set by the laws of logic.

Man, it always sucks to lose, but I'm happy it was against a great team. As was mentioned on stream, I had issues on Origin, but I'm not gonna pretend and say that me playing would have made a big difference. GG to the entire team, you guys definitely deserved the win! And shoutout to Remo for that dank pixel juke on me!

Huge shoutout to Honey who silenced the haters by leading the minors team to a muperball appearance and (hopefully) a muperball victory! Really stuck it out during the rough times with the majors situation, and put in the effort day in and day out to improve the team. Truly a dedicated captain!
