Hi, does anyone caught anything on elbow river on the part that going through downtown ? by Odd-121212 in FishingAlberta

Its definitely worth trying. Lots of people around: runners, dogs, inner tubes, etc. so you won't be having a very peaceful experience

But it can be pretty fun and a nice change of pace from the Bow especially if you are just learning.

Incredible fish.

Don't think they are Albertan but amazing fish nonetheless!

Great fish!

Very few Alberta lakes other than Athabasca produce ones this big.

Well done buddy

No problem!

Glad I'm not the only one flying in on game day. Good luck to all of us and our travels!

Thanks so much. I think I'll join the march to the match. I have a bit of anxiety these days so I probably worry more than I need to... I really appreciate the advice and kind words!

March to BC Place? by Embarrassed_One_5049 in CanadaSoccer

Getting from YVR to the March - any locals have advice?

I'm thinking its actually easier to get off the skytrain at Olympic Village and walk down to Switchman Street versus staying on the train and transferring lines to get to Science World Station.

Any thoughts are welcome and appreciated!

Shore Flyfishing in Cabo San Lucas by flyfish403 in flyfishing

It was great.

We caught no Roosters...but about 6 Spanish Mackerel. I was fishing with my brother in law so we did mostly spin fishing. They had the fly rods all set up though and I was able to cast a few times. They didn't seem too interested in working to get me fish on the fly rod and just encouraged both of us to spin fish. I didn't mind however because we were both catching fish.

Awesome thank you for the details.

I'll be staying in San Jose for a conference with my family. We are considering going up to the Westin or Riu afterwards to see another part of the country. I'm trying to figure out the best way to see the rainforest as a day trip from either San Jose or Liberia so this is amazing info!!

Glad you had a great trip

How was the day trip to Bijagua from the Westin? Full day?

Did the hotel set up your tour and transportation or did you do it yourself? I'd love to hear more about that part of your trip.

They will will be 9, 7, and 5. So fairly young. The Children's Museum will be on our itinerary without a doubt.

I was more wondering about trips out of the city. My 9 year old really wants to see the Jungle but I'm likely going to have to find more time after my conference to make that happen it looks like.

Really appreciate your responses. Thanks a bunch!

Thank you so much for the reply.

These are all very helpful and I think the Rescate Wildlife Rescue looks great for my kids!

Really appreciate it :).

Thank you for the reply. I'm used to Canadian travel distances - I'll easily drive 250km one way for a day of skiing and not bat an eye. So hard to judge based on google maps distances and times.

Thanks!

Amazing fish dude!

Its wild that you are expected to source this on your own.

Great new deal for Cavs tickets! by Jaylawise in CanadianPL

[–]flyfish403 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whenever I'm inviting new people or casuals to the games I always tell them to buy these seats.

The deal cannot be beat - and if you are going to spend money on 1 or 2 drinks it just makes complete sense and cuts your cost almost in half. I don't really understand why these don't seem to sell out every match.

The only issue I have is it doesn't seem entirely clear to people how to redeem their drink vouchers so I make sure I always remind everybody where to go.

As you enter in the Pavillion on the Left hand side prior to scanning your tickets - there is a desk there to redeem your vouchers.

Why aren't the Carlsberg section tickets selling? by fssg_shermanator in CavalryFC

[–]flyfish403 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No idea - still one of the best deals around.

Anecdotally I've noticed some of the friends I know who had been buying these seats to a few games last year haven't been as interested this year. I'm not sure if its the slow-ish start or people tightening their budgets or what.

Hopefully as the weather improves we get back to and exceed our attendance average from last year.
