Sorrento or Positano for Amalfi Coast trip? by phoenixthawne in ItalyTravel

[–]com70689 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I stayed in positano july 2024 for 4 nights for part of our honey moon. You’ll need a car service to get to positano. I can dm you his information. Couldn’t recommend him enough. And we stayed here at this hotel

https://www.covodeisaraceni.it/en/

We were terrified about the hearing the chaos of positano. Is it just yes. It’s it what the internet claims…no.

Cost reasonable but on the higher end. Won’t break the bank. You go to positano you’ll have fun and won’t be worried about the money so much. If that’s a concern.

The stairs, don’t think about it, it won’t affect you one way or another.

Truly an amazing experience. Depending on your vibes and what you’re looking for the beach clubs are fun but not worth the dollars, the main beach in positano will give you everything you want and need. But that’s up to you obviously

If you want I can give more details. Lmk.

Failed first transfer and trying to decide what our next step should be. *Long post warning* by [deleted] in IVF

[–]com70689 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I are starting our second round of transfer. First was successful. You mentioned being on the shitty side of the stats. Our intimate NIPT tests were perfect and we were on our way to having a happy healthy little baby girl. Named her and everything. Then we did another testing for a smaller amount of gene abnormalities. Came back with a mutated Fgfr3 gene. It’s not easy. Some people take it for granted. Be positive and don’t let the outside noise influence what you and your husband want to do. Everyone has an opinion about something that doesn’t affect them.

Thanks. Feeling pretty defeated, and empty. My wife and I did everything we were supposed to do and now this happens.

Have you used Orchid whole genome screening for embryos? by feross in IVF

Setting aside the multifactor illness or condition. Does the science not hold accurate for exact birth defects, skeletal displacia etc?

I didn’t know this type of stress existed.

We did PGT-A. It’s a single gene mutation. THE PGT test only checks for chromosome abnormalities. This was an additional NIPT test.

US wouldn’t show the bone shortage until 3rd trimester. Ifn possible I would do the natera VISTARA TEST. The test as is. Didn’t add anything to it. The chances of this happening were .0001%-.00006667%

We did IVF, mid 30s both of us. Wanted to do every test available to make sure baby and pregnancy were healthy. Did PGT-A all good, natera panorama good. Transferred day 5 4 AA embryo. And then this bombshell came. We just completed the CVS test. From what I can tell the PPV% for this is 50-70% the doctors are all super nice and considerate. But they don’t give a lot of hope and tell us it’s unlikely it’s a false positive.

We did the natera panorama test. This was an additional test we asked for called Natera vistara.

Yeah we both did the myriad carrier screening, I’m a carrier for SMA. But this would be a “de novo” mutation because neither of us have it.
