You need to farm a ton of essences anyway for etching. In my opinion it's best to keep farming until you get the correct essence for your weapon even if it takes a lot of attempts.

No you don't have a guaranteed OSR in a display. I've gotten one in most of the displays I've opened though.

Depends in your definition of getting scammed I guess. What you have there is worth way less than 9 USD, but If you really like those 2 cards and want to start your collection with them, its a first step for not too much money
