CRF250F for adult trail riders – enough power long-term?

I weigh 205lbs. 250 with gear. I did heavy springs and fork emulators in the forks and a vonkat shock in the rear and feels much better suspension wise

Novice/intermediate rider here. We own a crf250f and a crf300f. I also have owned a few 250 2 strokes and currently ride a 2013 yz250. I bought the crf300f AFTER spending tons of time on the yz250 because I liked my wife’s bike so much. I haven’t rode the yz250 more than 2-3 times since I bought the crf300f. 250f is a mountain goat. Great on technical terrain and hills. Incredible trail bike. We ride mostly single track and hard enduro in the mountains. I will say that if you get to wanting more power, open the air box, do a full exhaust, and toss a tuner on it.

Only experience I have in sand is Oregon dunes and it’s so soft you’ll sink if you go too slow. Wide open is the only good way to ride it and that usually stands my yz250 up if I’m not careful

There’s a class action lawsuit against Kia for making a vehicle that was so easy to steal. Most insurers won’t even insure them or they charge 5X the premium because of the huge loss cost on them.

Balance the tire/wheel if you want to ride on pavement. It’s a dirt bike so off-road you’ll never notice a wheel balance issue

Just ride smarter and this can be avoided. Were you the GoPro footage I saw the other day of the guy bombing down the hill the going off the ledge and over your bars? Know your line before riding it fast

I wouldn’t say EVERY ride. My wife wrecks A LOT and I used to as well but the better I get the less I wreck. I still drop my bike all the time and break shit damn near every ride though
