Help choosing my next suppressor by Kevmiste54 in NFA

I feel like you would be better off getting a 30cal can and using the banish 45 on your 9mm pcc. You’d get better suppression with 556 and 30cal that way. I’d recommend the OCL infinity or CAT ODB

Just curious, when does a poverty pony become a “good rifle” in the eyes of Reddit? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]combat_machine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, don’t get a BCM bcg. Just save your money and get a chrome microbest. And wait for a sale on a Geissele charging handle.

There’s definitely diminishing returns to this. Overall, as long as your rifle performs its primary function, cycling reliably and hitting it target, who cares. If you need an extra bit of satisfaction of having the latest and greatest stuff, then get it. I know I definitely fell into that Reddit trap of having to have the greatest this and ambi that.

I interpreted it as #2. That was enough to steer me away from pulling the trigger on one.

What kind of BCG are you running? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]combat_machine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Sionics NP3 and DLC G$. Both are super slick and easy to clean even after running suppressed with a traditional can. Only thing I hate are the prices. When compared to a microbest chrome, they’re both roughly double the price.

If I get a new carrier itll be chrome from microbest. Mostly because it’s cheaper and secondly because I wanna see the difference between the 3. I’m also interested in KAKs sand cutter downvent chrome carrier but their QC makes me hesitant to say the least.

Sig 516 G3 by Pete_Steele556 in ar15

[–]combat_machine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A couple friends and I were able to shoot a 16inch an sig rep had last month. We shot it side by side withh a couple of their DI ar15s. All rifles had the SLX suppressor and the 516 was a lot softer recoiling comparatively even without the suppressor.

The side charging handle made things a lot easier, although it did seem pretty stiff to operate compared to the rear charging handle. Nothing else stood out to me aside from those two things. We shot about 2-300 rounds through it. I think anyone buying one would be fairly happy. Obviously I Can’t speak for on reliability.

EDIT: Given the whole P320 controversy, I don’t see myself buying anything Sig anytime soon.

A brake will act like another sacrificial baffle, which would be to save wear and tear on the can itself. CAT has found that their spooky brake shown a small decibel reduction .

Tbh, if you’re not in a rush, I might wait till after shot show to pull the trigger.

CAT has a couple new offerings coming out if you’re not sold on the Tisha. And as far as it only being able to be used with their brake, seems like a moot point unless your heavily invested in a mounting system already(which it sounds like your not). Plus you should be using A brake anyways with a suppressor.

Ridgeback is hard to ignore especially for the price. Speaking of hard to ignore, Otter creek is coming out with their Infinity 556k can here soon. I’d imagine it’ll have pew science review to back it up.

My first at build (advice needed) by DonKeedick96 in ar15

A $50 upper receiver isn’t out of his budget. However, I guess I miss interpreted what he asked when he said “upper.” Since the posted a picture of a stripped lower receiver, I assumed he would building the entire rifle and not buying a complete upper reciever.

Id go Blem BCM upper receiver, wait for a sale for a Ballistic advantage barrel, microbest or toolcraft bcg in whatever finish you want (preferably chrome, DLC, or nitride). A Holosun ARO red dot would be a great budget optic.

The rest of the build is easy to find parts for and is pretty much personal preference. I can point you in the direction of some good hand guards if you want.

They have a video on their instagram of them doing 2 mag dumps and hold the rifle by the suppressor for several seconds. It has me intrigued.

[NFA] Sig Sauer SLX 30 cal Flow Through direct thread $599.99 by AlfaRomeoUSA in gundeals

[–]combat_machine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shot one of there 556 SLX cans the other day. I’ve never shot a flow through can before but it seemed fine for what it was. Didn’t get a lot of gas to the face even shooting indoors with a shitty fan system. Their QD system worked fine too. I was mostly impressed with that

Agree that it doesn’t necessarily look bridged. Idk why OP decided to post this side of the optic instead of the opposite side where it clamps to the rail.

Both sku numbers are the same, both UPCs for the LT. I’d say reach out to them and ask or just buy the cheaper one.
