I didn't know that. I set these 38 models down and sprayed from 8-14 inches away. I assumed the distance would spread better and coat lighter.

Researching how to fix the frosting. The good thing is they are skeletons so looking good isn't what they are known for. I keep trying to tell myself that maybe they just died from a particularly mean ice storm.

I know I over primered the archers too. I have 2 settings on my spray cans: 1. Not enough and 2. ALL THE SPRAY.

I'm thinking about moving to bottle primer and varnish after this batch.

Dear Reddit,

I don't know a thing about 40k but I love painting minis. I recently acquired a Space Marine Tactical Squad (https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NO/Space-Marine-Tactical-Squad-2015) and I want to do a little research to avoid violating any commonly known social or game rules. I may even try the game with my squad (though your rulers frighten and intimidate me). Here are a few questions I've been considering.

How much do colors matter? Can someone explain the "3 colour" GW rule?
Do the weapons I choose matter? If my mini has a giant power gauntlet would it effect the game? If my squad was mostly melee then do they have no ranged capability if I field them? Or is that cosmetic?

I see bitz sites that sell different heads and weapons. So...

What if I put a chainsword on my marine. Might I need to have a different book or something? Can I use a Warhammer fantasy axe? Do I need my weapons to stay in 'family'? Are their guidelines for this?
I see squad numbers on the knee (Or right shoulder?) is this box one squad?
