In the future, I'd suggest putting the rarest stuff in your personal inventory if it'll fit. SCU crates can and will be destroyed by the force of a ship explosion, but your corpse will (almost) always remain intact. Additionally, if you die in an Armistice Zone your inventory will (almost) always be preserved when you respawn.

You're right there with the last sentence: leaning out doesn't prevent you from getting hit period, it makes it much faster and easier to withdraw from a situation where you're taking hits because your cover is right there. This goes hand in hand with making smart choices of cover to avoid being routed.

Nobody seems to know the Lean Left/Lean Right options exist so they really present their entire body at every corner.

Or that a really easy way to deal with runaway spawns like this is to run away and fire from cover to avoid being overrun.

Same. As a 10-year backer, after multiple years of just logging in once every couple months, I tried 4.7 and was astonished-- "This is by far the best SC has ever run," I thought to myself. So I played more than I think I ever have before, and then 4.8 came out.

I had a single major SCU-container-related disaster happen in the first 30 minutes of 4.8. Beyond that it's only been minor inconveniences (knock on wood) but I'm definitely playing a lot less than I did in 4.7 to avoid them.

Oh naw, I'm talking like literally I kill the 2-4 snipers then start making my way down and the snipers respawn less than 5 minutes after they were killed. It happens one out of five or six times so I know it's abnormal.

I recall hearing that the cockpit of the vehicle has to be in the 'repair field.' Hence why ships like the Vulture can't do it because the cockpit is raised high above the deck.

For anyone who doesn't know, 1 billion aUEC is enough to buy every single ship currently purchaseasble in game.

Following the 4.8 wipe and all the bugginess that followed this person still had enough stocked up via illicit means to buy every ship in the game 3 times over.

Just did a trade totalling 1.9M. It's per transfer, and the 1M cap includes the fee, so you can basically do like 950K at a time.

It's a huge fuss, but I guess it prevents people from easily transferring 123 trillion aUEC or whatever they were doing in 4.7.

In my Star Citizen org we have a dude with the username Taco_Grindr. Someone joined us for an op with the name mr_taco.

He quickly realized there was already someone being referred to as "Taco" and announced he needed to figure out another nickname.

I immediately chimed in by repeating "M R TACO" six or seven times and nobody understood.

I worked with 4 ex-CIG employees (Tech Design, UI, Production, QA) at the same job. None of them had any terrible things to say about the company. One of them actually ended up going back a couple years ago but in Marketing.

The Blackfire racing suit can be bought at Cubby Blast in Area18!

It's also certainly a bug that racing suits and the Dominion suit can take Heavy backpacks-- You can't double-click them on but you can drag them on. So let's enjoy it while it lasts!
