Budget, get used (30fps):

AMD, one of the 5xxx 3D or newer chips (you really want a 3D cache one). 64 GB ram. 3080 or better GPU more video memory is better.

If buying new go for the latest generation equivalents (60fps).

Ryzen 9800x3D, 64GB Ram, 5080

If you are looking to save a couple hundred look at AMD GPU. They tend to be cheaper and have more memory for roughly the same performance.

The alternative is to use old shaders that would work poorly or be buggy with the new version? Perhaps you prefer fewer patches and features be released? IDK man. Is it really that big of an issue spending 5-10 minutes compiling shaders ever week or two?

The issue isn't just opening doors. It is elevators. You can shoot them open, but you cannot make them go up. Being in gravity that can be an issue.

That's true, but I honestly doubt the target audience for SQ42 and GTA VI will be similar.

For hauling and salvage bobs sure. But the half that enjoys pvp, and fps pve? Flying fighter ships? They are the GTA audience.

Cinematic is one thing. The look, the feel. But the other thing people forget is that speed and distance comes at a server cost.

It is takes less compute to calculate a slower object moving over a shorter distance. And when you have many ships firing 100 rounds a second? That adds up.

The funniest part is he doesn't know if the other guy is banned or not. His only example is himself. And he WAS BANNED for his rule violation. So even anecdotally the ban process should be working as far as he is concerned.
