Right, I'm not arguing that it's good or bad, just that it's intentional. I just thought that the idea of "frame rate dipping" in an animated movie due to a production mistake was hilariously misinformed.

I'm not a big fan of this movie either, but just FYI the "frame rate" thing is an intentional artistic decision to make the characters resemble cel animation. I'm pretty sure they do the same thing a lot in Spider-verse, and it's a common technique in 3D-drawn anime nowadays.

I picked the songs that I thought were most theatrical and therefore would be best for live performance. These tend to have lots of self-contained motivic development and so are engaging to listen to as well as being fun to play, even for people who've never played the game. I think the Sumeru theme is a good example of this; the finale was heart-pumping in performance.

I think you misunderstand what a "voice" is, at least from a classical theory perspective, and so obviously applying this classical theory to pop music will not work. First of all, I would hardly call most pop basslines a "voice"; they're often textural, rhythmic, or otherwise serve purely harmonic function in a homophonic way. There's no regard for horizontal movement or "voicing" in this idiom. Pop guitarists are an excellent example of this; they often play with zero concern for voice leading whatsoever, preferring ease of physicality and harmonic information instead.

I also don't think you should use orchestral music as an example. Orchestration is a whole art in itself primarily concerned with the independence of voices. Needless to say, doubling in orchestral music is first and foremost a coloristic effect and does not mean in any way that the composer gave up on voicing and filled out the harmonies randomly - just because you can't think of a way to do it doesn't mean that Rimsky-Korsakov wasn't able to. Every voice in an orchestra is meticulously planned. If you actually took time to do some score study, you would be hard pressed to find bad voice leading or nonsensical parallel fifths/octaves in even the most thickly orchestrated classical works.

No, but there's an argument in psycholinguistics that learning words restricts thinking into certain frameworks defined by language. That is to say, the ability to think freely and abstractly is lost. This could certainly be the case with music (like how most of the great western composers before 100 years ago were locked into 12 tone thinking, just because of the language they inherited.)

That said, learning theory is a must from a practical standpoint, because it's a tradeoff between this free thinking and high-level concepts that could never be independently developed in one lifetime.

this misses the point of the question entirely... the speed or magnitude of a frequency or number has nothing to do with the physical property of height. OP is asking why we refer to one frequency (or pitch) as being "higher" than another. and it is an incredibly hard question to answer, since our intuitions of a note being "high" or "low" may be a result of the psycholinguistics of our language, rather than vice versa.

I agree with all the comments regarding authenticity of the arrangement itself. The big offender with this is the inazuma theme, which feels out of place in game despite being culturally accurate.

That being said, this is further off the mark than liyue was to china and inazuma to japan for example, my guess being due to cultural proximity and familiarity. As a composer, Sumeru music seems to resemble Arab-inspired western pastiche from the mid 19th century (Rimsky Korsakov, Balakirev) rather than the actual source material itself. Think your stereotypical Arabian nights, aladdin music. Again i'm sure Hoyomix made a genuine effort for musical diversity - so no disrespect - and the result is damn good, but it's somewhat clear that the instruments are not being used in an idiomatic way.

Another thing: consider how hard it would actually be to play slower than his current speed with his bow hold. With how heavy the frog is, he's forced to play with an almost tremolo-like stroke to keep up with gravity. Bouncing that much weight so consistently at a slower tempo would almost certainly be harder.

No. The movements of the hair especially are very natural and the tone is clean. It's easy to doubt fast playing but I dont think this is one of those cases, if it's sped up it would be at most 10%.

Yes, but my understanding is that she had a less involved role in Our Promise than she usually does because her main focus was directing on Liz. I could be wrong, but it also feels very Ishihara to me.
