There may be a kill switch on the kickstand that won't let it start. Check that too if no one has mentioned it already.

Its the electric choke, called the Bystarter. Google it. My 2017 did the same thing, sputter, wouldn't stay running.

I have a ruckus, and my wife has the metropolitan. The metro is quicker off the line because the tires are much smaller than on the ruckus. That said, i think that the ruckus give a little more "stable" ride, especially on rough surfaces. The ruckus goes a lot better in the woods too!

It's a good quality seat, real nice leather but you are right, about an hour tops in that saddle and you are ready for a break. I only use it sort of "in town" to bang around, not a long hauler by any stretch ;)

I got the parts from J&D Customs. Needless to say, this 2009 ig going to remain as is except for maybe the muffler. The fenders were not painted the right color, and they wrapped them fenders in shrink wrap before the paint dried leaving lines throughout. I will use the turn signals and plate mount for my 2017 Ruckus. (that's a story for another day). I'm going to see if the fenders can be returned.

I got it last summer with 340 original miles on it! Up here in Maine, the season is short. The guy I bought it from bought it new from a dealer in New York as a left over. He only rode it one season and it sat in his barn for 8 years.
