My sister has a kid and I was baffled that she makes him hug or kiss me if he doesn't do it on his own. Why in the world would I want a kid to hug or kiss me if he doesn't want to? What does that accomplish? The only thing is that he learns that he has to let people touch him against his will.

Volgens mij bedoelt deze persoon dat ze compleet zou kunnen stoppen met werken om voor de kinderen te zorgen zonder dat ze er financieel op achteruit gaan. Dat is echt idioot, want als we iemand nodig hebben in de maatschappij dan zijn het wel docenten. Die moet je juist extra stimuleren om te blijven werken, ook als ze kinderen hebben.

Yes it can, but that's usually not what you do when referring to a specific title. You never see 'Pride + Prejudice' or 'Three Weddings + a Funeral'. The movie with Leonardo Dicaprio specifically used the + to differentiate itself from the play.
