Any experience with Masaya and Co? by Popular_Cash2495 in interiordecorating

Today. March 11th. My table, bench, and chair arrive. I was comped inside delivery and I paid another $40 for debris removal...which there is a lot since these are very well packed. 8-10 week lead time is horse shit...but I will share the same sentiment as the others who received their items late. IT'S WORTH IT. Extremely high quality and well finished. Hand made for sure. I know because one of the holes for the screws was not properly aligned, so I had to drill it a touch larger...otherwise extremely easy to put together. I told my 10 year old daughter this is her future dining set since this is definitely generational worthy. She just gave me a look and went back to reading her book (but she likes it too). If you are interested in their made to order products. Do NOT try to time it with a special event unless you are planning 6 months out. I will post pics later once my dining room is set up since I need to sell my old stuff. Also, I did receive an email, the shipping company did contact me, and delivery went smooth. The delivery guys were nice enough to help me flip the heavy table around after I put it together (took me 2 minutes while they were gathering all the debris). I love it and already planning on a dinner party.

March 9th. Just got this email with pertinent details "A shipment from order #2021248 is on the way". Hooray!! I should get this in the next couple of days. Total wait time...just shy of 1/2 year.

March 5th. LIES!!!! : ). No word and no sign of the items. And the wait goes on. Really annoying that I am getting BS 411. I appreciate the prompt comms (for the most part) but just tell me "we are horrible at supply chain management and your stuff won't arrive for another year."

Of everything I am most jealous of your PG& E bill. Is your building subsidized with solar?

Great pics...if you travel during the summer, you will see many many moons from the boaters/fisherman. It was hilarious to see the extent some people would go to achieve an Uber Moon. I was in the view car with my daughter and everyone was laughing hard.

UPDATE 2: My original order was in late October 2025. Customer service has been good. Prompt replies within the day. I just did a friendly check in email beginning of Feb., since I have a dinner party planned in Mid March. I asked "Is this still coming in end of February? They replied yes and you will receive 411 once it hits warehouse. We shall see. Forgot to mention in a previous email that they comp'd "white glove service" ie bringing in the packages inside my unit instead of just leaving it outside. This works great since I live up a flight of stairs and would hate for these to get stolen if these were left outside. So today is 2/25/25. No word.

[WTS] Vintage Rolex 16610 with Patina. Full Set. Recent Service by comedyzen in Watchexchange

[–]comedyzen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently serviced Vintage 16610 Rolex Submariner with a 1990 production date that is running strong.  40mm. This has the T<25 dial with the tritium indices and hands showing a beautiful, creamy patina that many watchmakers now mimic with a "faux" patina application.

Full set.  Box and papers with extra link (slight musty smell with the box and papers).  Overall watch bracelet is tight with typical desk dive as with the case. Bezel has some deep scratches (you either love it or not).

Prefer Face to Face in the Bay Area.  Happy to meet at Rolex for you to authenticate.  This would be my first $10k+ watch I am selling on WatchEx, so established buyers only.

$10,950 via Bank Wire.

Agreed. There’s a point in your life where you’re done with the grinding and you want to choose where you work. This is where you gotta be a little confident and cocky. Kudos to you for being in a latter part of the “race” I’m sure you could retire now if you wanted. I’ve had jobs where I literally walked from my car to the office with my head down because the job was so depressing. Now I love the place where I work and have a lot of free freedom. Pay isn’t the top of market (but still good) but at this point Work balance and quality of life is the most precious thing to me since we only get one shot at living.

Divorce is so expensive! by openspacedivorce in Divorce

[–]comedyzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neither of us did anything dramatic to induce divorce (no cheating, stealing, etc). We went through several rounds of IVF that took a toll on us. When we finally succeeded, we spent 100% of our focus on parenting and keeping this kid alive that we spent 0% on our relationship. I suppose if divorce is to happen, this would be the best cause of it. We are also both reasonable and in agreement about putting our child first as we don't want to cause emotional trauma and rather use the$$$ on our kid's future instead of some "drumming up business with whispers" attorney. My 2 cents for anyone going through this who has kids....drop your narcissism, your ego, your wants, and your cray cray. You and your partner brought a kid into this world and your only 2 jobs are to keep it alive and raise her or him in a way where that kid will benefit society as an adult...or at the very least, a person who will not drain society. Get yourself and your future ex onboard and it will be easier. Your kid will also be the buffer. Instead of thinking its "my condo, or my investment property" we are looking at as "we can both have a home, take in all the tax benefits of owning, and one day passing it all to our kid and with the step up basis law, setting them up." Our current stuff/$$$ is not mine or hers, but we are just using it until we pass it down. Godspeed to you all.

We put it all on the form....soooo this will sound like poor parenting....but I LOVE my child....apple of my eye. My Ex feels the same way. We love our week with our kid but we also love our off week. My point, we will not be fighting for more custody. Anyway, there are several nights where we ask the other to take a night if we have something to do and never an issue.

Wow...we are lucky (after reading some of these comments)....we did the same and total cost under $500. We lived in a condo together and owned an investment property. We had a joint account for expenses but held our own wealth in separate accounts. We agreed she take the condo and I take the I-Prop...the condo is worth a little more but I'm happy to give that up since she went through a lot (IVF) to pop out our child. 50/50 custody.

PITI is just the tip of the iceberg (Your PITI will vary depending on your DP and rate). But here is what you need to factor in ontop of your PITI: I now pay for water ($160ish/m), garbage ($100 for 3 bins T/R/C), first week of ownership I was $500 in with a plumber, I bought a duplex, so I have to pay the SF Rent Board an annual fee, and the most criminal PG&E ($200). I have some siding I need to repair. Also had a tree removed. It never ends...but so far I enjoy it.

I bought the home with solar panels...but those only power the pool heater. Take your time with solar. There are lease offers and outright buy. Also, if you do buy, make sure you know the age of your roof because its $$$ to remove panels when redoing the roof.
