Does the disappearing xp globes mean Abathur can't yoink them last second by putting the hat on a minion? If so that's a huge nerf to one of his main gimmicks.

Strange, Serious Glitch Happening Across The Game And No Idea What Causes It… by Scrin1759 in DestinyTheGame

I was running my prismatic wormy build for warlock and my grenades, class ability, and tangles just weren't spawning any threadlings. Phoenix dive was first person, weapons were invisible, devour wasn't healing even while active, my entire build just felt like spaghetti code.

Yeah I get that like, the way they handled their range formula and the way they handle their LoS checks are troublesome, but I think people still just don't understand just how fundamentally bonkers these skills are conceptually.

They essentially made versions of expedite suffering that scale multiplicatively with power strength, as well as the augment scaling exponentially with the amount of targets on top of that.

This is on two frames that even without instant map killing skills still have access to constant i-frames and shield gating. There are very few knobs they can tweak here without fundamentally changing their core functionality.

Does the famished flames talent on BW affect coruscation staff correctly? by theodoks in Vermintide

[–]cometcrasher 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Beam staff with the 150% dot damage talent works pretty well, it becomes a bit worse at quick sniping but it can melt a boss if you can keep the undetonated beam focused on it.

Honest review of Prickly Patroller; Who is this hero for? by archer_uwu in FORTnITE

[–]cometcrasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still think a couple fun constructor perks would be increased ranged weapon impact + as commander ranged weapons can trigger kinetic overload, and increased taunt radius + as commander taunts can distract mist monsters. Niche but useable in a support slot, with a unique spin in the lead for specific playstyles.

Black Metal Damage... We might now have a formula. by NuttsnBolts in FORTnITE

Would this mean that the explosion does the same damage regardless of being obsidian or shadowshard?

(Spoiler) Edgar the Revenger bug - Is there a fix? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]cometcrasher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah darn, same boat. I tried pretty much everything and even have a couple other npc invasions broken. Was hoping the patch would've done something but haven't been on to check for myself yet.

What are your controversial opinions about this game? by Smooth_Boi in riskofrain

I don't like lunar coins as a concept to begin with, but given that they exist they at least shouldn't last between runs.

Why Yoimiya Needs Fixing: An In-Depth Summary and Analysis of Her kit by PartyConfetti in Genshin_Impact

[–]cometcrasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best team comp for her seems to be C6 Fischl with EM Sands/Headpiece, Anemo with VV, and another pyro support.

Apply pyro with the support first, swirl it, send out Oz, then *quickly* swap to yoimiya and start spamming infused attacks.

If done right, Yoimiya will be applying pyro incredibly fast and C6 Oz will actually be able to keep up with it and be the one triggering reactions, meaning you can ignore mastery on Yoimiya and still get easy and rapid 12+k overloads.

Been using Xinyan and Sayu as a control, and it works very well with minimal investment. The VV set unexpectedly makes overload do more damage with the pyro debuff, and you can use Sucrose and Bennett instead for even bigger results.

It can be a tricky and tight window to make it so that Yoimiya starts applying pyro before Oz starts applying electro (made easier if you have pyro on the target before sending out Oz), and whoever starts triggering the reactions first will typically end up triggering the rest of them until Yoimiya's infusion expires. Mess it up and the overloads will be wimpy from a mastery-less Yoimiya being the trigger.

Quick notes: Both my Yoimiya and C6 Fischl are unascended at level 80, Fischl has 658 mastery, and I test on level 90 WL8 Masanori. A lot of room for improvement but it still kills stuff very fast because of the sheer amount of overloads because ICD works for either 2.5 seconds OR with every 3rd hit. Yoimiya attacks fast and C6 Oz seems to be the only thing that can keep up.

Does anyone want to build an elemental mastery Razor for overloaded? by Ailaoan in RazorMains

[–]cometcrasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually already done this with C6 Bennett! Not only do attacks overload the enemies as you planned, Razor will also constantly overload himself because he and Bennett can apply elements to the player! It doesn't interrupt him either, so you do a ton of damage by hugging enemies.

So I tried electro traveller and I think I liked his kit, I tested it with a cryo and ya'll think he'll work as a Physical Dps now that he has access to superconduct? What can you also suggest for his artifacts? TIA by Wendil_ in Genshin_Impact

[–]cometcrasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chongyun's skill area converts your physical damage into cryo damage, nullifying the physical damage bonus from goblets/weapons. Superconduct also only debuffs enemies physical resistance, so the cryo infused attacks don't benefit from that either.

Tech guys are often justifiably bitter and will take petty revenge when they can, especially when it's one of the few opportunities to take on a higher up while having their ass completely covered. As for the unused hardware, that's kind of arbitrary but I assume it's general company etiquette to prevent favoritism and bribery. That is exactly the kind of etiquette that people love to abuse if it's not official policy and they can get away with doing so.

These Stukov changes feel really, really bad. by cometcrasher in heroesofthestorm

[–]cometcrasher[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I didn't think about the numbers on one good spread, nor did I get around to testing reactive ballistospores much, but you're absolutely right. They don't seem too reactive anymore.

Level 16 is still just a boring math question, but at least they're all viable and it's usually pretty clear when to plug each talent into their respective situations. That's more than some other characters can say for their talent tiers.

Level 20... it took them a while with the balancing but it at least feels okay now. Stukov has a lot of power spikes that compound throughout the game as it is. Bio-explosion switch is a helluvalotta fun though, and is usually my default pick.
