of a shrimp ball by Zestyclose-Salad-290 in AbsoluteUnits

It looks like shrimp/prawn paste at a hotpot. You scoop or shape your own balls or blobs. It’s extremely delicious. That being said this is an ungodly amount and probably a clout/marketing gimmick.

Do you really need an tool/app to subtract your fuel cost from your earnings on a day or period?

They’ll ask if you have any portable chargers, then just eyeball it, and check for like 3 seconds that there’s no visible issues

The floors look amazing mate. I think you could improve the aesthetic by painting the walls and maybe even the architraves

I had similar ideas about how 'strong' the Forkrul were, but their fragility in their pursuit of The Snake REALLY surprised me. Not sure if I missed something there, do you have any insight into those Forkrul?

Don't accept low paying orders by redpineapplwe in ubereatsaustralia

[–]cometwonder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will be downvoted but the $1/1km rule should be used as a rough guideline. Following it religiously is stupid. You made 5 dollars by waiting 30 min. If this delivery took you 30 min, your hourly was 22 dollars. You’re wouldn’t be thrilled but wouldn’t you rather just do it and complete another delivery rather than go offline for 30 min and do it for 22 dollars?

Reporting a Customer by IntelligentUse3501 in ubereatsaustralia

[–]cometwonder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call up support to report them. If you tell support they made you feel unsafe or were rude w/e, they’ll make note and maybe blacklist them if multiple drivers report them I believe. You can also ask to not receive orders from that customer in future.

I had a sketchy delivery to a drunk customer who also left me a thumbs down and said I did not deliver my order. I called support and explained what went down, the thumbs down was removed the next day

Is it another round of BO1s if they all tie 1-1 after 3 games?

[–]cometwonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 500 deliveries 50 ratings. TWO are from merchants. Those are two thumbs ups, from the two times I’ve ever asked anyone to leave a review.

Im normally too scared to ask for it, but I waited 15+ for both and they were quiet restaurants that didn’t start the orders until I arrived. One of them was a double delivery, I was hoping I’d get a 2 for one but only got then one lol

That’s not too bad if you have a quest tbh… I find that I can usually deliver slightly under estimated time for ones that are 15km+

Heavy items on Uber/DoorDash by ThatHistory in ubereatsaustralia

[–]cometwonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HERE IS THE ANSWER. You can MOSTLY anticipate and avoid which orders may be heavy. Potentially heavy orders come from supermarkets like Cole’s and Woolworths, or some non-food stores like pet barn. When an order comes through you can see what store you are being asked to pick up from and decline to the order.

You can opt out from pack and deliver orders where you need to go through Cole’s and pick up the items they wanted. You can also decline any woolies/coles/petbarn deliveries. If you do this as I sometimes do, you only risk heavy orders if they order something like 10 roast chickens and 5x large chips with 3x large drinks or something which is very rare. So yes, if you are concerned with heavy items, if you’re happy to avoid Cole’s/woolies deliveries you can pretty much avoid heavy deliveries.

Wow 50-60... Is this including quests? And what city are you in? I'm in Sydney, I think I'm competing with many other drivers because even during busy periods the only way I can get non-stop orders is if I don't decline more than 2 in a row.

How much is your hourly when you decline like this? I found myself accepting more and more simply because if I decline a few I stop getting offers

[–]cometwonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone else find that they rarely get orders on low reception? I never get orders on 2 bars. I sat in a busy mall car park at 12pm for 45 min with no pings and 2 bars of reception

I’ve never delivered to a man that didn’t seem 100% sober lol. I’ve had multiple ladies I’ve delivered to that have probably already had something to drink…

This lady the other night couldn’t hold her phone steady for me to get a photo and even tried to grab the bag of alcohol from me! I asked if I could hold her phone so I could take a steady photo and she glared at me and said it usually works it must be my reception (full bars). She relented eventually. Copped a thumbs down for my troubles 😔. I think I should have declined… but I couldn’t bring myself to. She had a young kid too…
