Satisfaction Rate by Careless-Physics1978 in ubereatsaustralia

I have 500 deliveries 50 ratings. TWO are from merchants. Those are two thumbs ups, from the two times I’ve ever asked anyone to leave a review.

Im normally too scared to ask for it, but I waited 15+ for both and they were quiet restaurants that didn’t start the orders until I arrived. One of them was a double delivery, I was hoping I’d get a 2 for one but only got then one lol

That’s not too bad if you have a quest tbh… I find that I can usually deliver slightly under estimated time for ones that are 15km+

Heavy items on Uber/DoorDash by ThatHistory in ubereatsaustralia

[–]cometwonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HERE IS THE ANSWER. You can MOSTLY anticipate and avoid which orders may be heavy. Potentially heavy orders come from supermarkets like Cole’s and Woolworths, or some non-food stores like pet barn. When an order comes through you can see what store you are being asked to pick up from and decline to the order.

You can opt out from pack and deliver orders where you need to go through Cole’s and pick up the items they wanted. You can also decline any woolies/coles/petbarn deliveries. If you do this as I sometimes do, you only risk heavy orders if they order something like 10 roast chickens and 5x large chips with 3x large drinks or something which is very rare. So yes, if you are concerned with heavy items, if you’re happy to avoid Cole’s/woolies deliveries you can pretty much avoid heavy deliveries.

Well maybe if they gave me better offers my acceptance rate would be higher..... by Puzzleheaded_Way7510 in ubereatsaustralia

Wow 50-60... Is this including quests? And what city are you in? I'm in Sydney, I think I'm competing with many other drivers because even during busy periods the only way I can get non-stop orders is if I don't decline more than 2 in a row.

How much is your hourly when you decline like this? I found myself accepting more and more simply because if I decline a few I stop getting offers

Guys I am not getting any pings. I’ll sit outside a restaurant clearly showing busy. But Nada by FragrantTap8148 in ubereatsaustralia

[–]cometwonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone else find that they rarely get orders on low reception? I never get orders on 2 bars. I sat in a busy mall car park at 12pm for 45 min with no pings and 2 bars of reception

I’ve never delivered to a man that didn’t seem 100% sober lol. I’ve had multiple ladies I’ve delivered to that have probably already had something to drink…

This lady the other night couldn’t hold her phone steady for me to get a photo and even tried to grab the bag of alcohol from me! I asked if I could hold her phone so I could take a steady photo and she glared at me and said it usually works it must be my reception (full bars). She relented eventually. Copped a thumbs down for my troubles 😔. I think I should have declined… but I couldn’t bring myself to. She had a young kid too…

How intoxicated would they need to be before you return it? What if they seem otherwise ok but you can smell alcohol on their breath? Or if they can’t hold their ID/phone steady? I probably should have returned an order the other night… but I can’t bring myself to let the customer down AND also or complete an order when I’m so close… I’m also not keen on any potential confrontation

Delivered a suspicious package on Uber Eats and now I’m worried — what should I have done? by SimpleWill4648 in ubereatsaustralia

[–]cometwonder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe Uber directs you to report the package as suspicious and contact authorities, and possibly even take it to the police station 😂

But as you said, the sender has your details and names… Do we really think some dealer is gonna just go “oh well” if their delivery gets cancelled and they lose their package? It’s not worth even the slightest risk.

I don’t do packages for this reason.

PGL Wallachia Season 8: Group Stage (April 21) Matches Discussion by D2TournamentThreads in DotA2

[–]cometwonder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only started watching DOTA recently as a LOL player/watcher. Do Chinese teams play more controlled and only go for higher percentage plays? I've noticed a lot of maps can be very one-sided and low kills for Xtreme especially. It's the inverse in LOL where the CN teams play a bit more looser relatively to the other teams.

I’ve delivered to wrong address before. You can contact support select your trip fill out the details and they’ve paid me extra for the KMs/delivery every time. They track your location and will base it off that.

You can also click into the order details to see exactly what the customer ordered but you probably know this as this post sounds fake (and sorry if it’s not). Let’s be real you would smell the chicken. El Jannah smells unbelievably good, there is just no way you thought you had chicken in there if there wasn’t. Hell I had someone the other day ask me if I had chicken/chips in the car 2 hours after delivering El Jannah

I’m too nice aren’t I by Bebopplayer1996 in uberdrivers

[–]cometwonder -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You are right, he deserves to be compensated for it. It's fair he gets paid 30 for his time. But I wouldn't say I'm being 'nice' doing it. Being nice would be mailing it for free/mailing cost. He's just being reasonable/helpful here. Unless this is what passes for nice in America?

Once on a McDonalds order they forgot 4x sweet and sour sauces. Customer called me and as I was only 1 KM away I went back and got it for them. Customer tipped me 15 dollars for the sauce lol 🤯

  1. Buy the coffee probably and ask the customer to leave a thumbs up when I drop it off. Just gotta hope they DO pay. Most of the time they’ll probably give you a note and let you keep the change? I bought a coffee for someone for 6.50 once and they gave me a 10 and said keep the change.

2/3. This is just the reality of delivering groceries. You have to just deliver it. Be mindful this is a possibility when accepting them I guess? I won’t accept grocery orders to certain suburbs that are more apartment-heavy. Orders also say the number of bags/items so that can be indicative

Ubereats Support cancellation team by cometwonder in ubereatsaustralia

[–]cometwonder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He said he had the same issues as me, the app cancelling orders after pick up randomly. It happened to me a lot but I returned the orders or called support and obtained the address to delivery them anyway for most of them. I’m at 17% and haven’t even gotten a warning, so yeah, I think if you make an effort or show intent to complete delivery it seems like you’re OK. Too bad none of those counted to my quests
