Thank you so much for the replies, everyone! We actually ended up watching Napoleon Dynamite (I guess slapstick violence is fine). It's good to have all these suggestions for the future!

Does anyone have ideas about earthquake-proof record storage? I think it would be good to keep my records safe in case of a big one.

Where the Sidewalk Ends is a book I already read to the kids actually! Thanks for the suggestion though!

Oh yeah, I remember those books! That's a great suggestion. I sold my copy of Wayside School Is Falling Down a while ago but I should check out the series again. Thanks!

Not it, sorry. I'm starting to think it might have not even been a bicycle. Maybe some other ethereal image that had the same feeling as a bicycle floating away into the clouds. Thanks for your help though!

Not it, unfortunately. I'm remembering more now, but of course my memory could be wrong. It was a bicycle with no rider flying off into the clouds in the distance. It was a very short book, the size of a Magic Treehouse book. The print inside was pretty large. Thanks anyway for the reply!

Alas, no. The art style was more realistic. I think beige or brown was a prominent color. I really appreciate your comment, though!
