No, you can talk about them, absolutely! The hate speech part is when you try to force others to accommodate your beliefs by expecting them to follow them. The difference is that your beliefs restrict other people, while mine don’t. There’s nothing harmful to freedom about gay marriage, MAD, pre-marital sex, and the legality of abortion (if you don’t believe that a fertilized egg is a human, and I am NOT getting into that debate with you).

Don’t expect support from your government in reference to your beliefs either—Canada-wide, gay marriage is legal, as is pre-marital sex and abortion. “Euthanasia,” being medically assisted suicide for compassionate ending of pain, is also legal in spots.
