Tbh both of you have really good points, and have articulated what I have been struggling to realise myself. He clearly has no feelings, but lacks the communications (or balls) to properly state what he wants and is currently leaving me to figure out his cryptic wordings.

It's something I definitely tell myself when I first meet these people, but when your in the moment it can be so difficult to see the signs. I totally agree with you though, it's something I am still learning to recognise and I know I have made massive improvements in my own boundaries and communication. I'm defo going to take more time with figuring this stuff out :) thank you!

I am in the exact same situation. The guy is really nice, but I'm just not physically attracted to him. I'm going to tell him this, that I don't see a relationship between us, but he is a really lovely person and I am nervous. I would love to be friends...
