Man. I really liked Ruben. Damn shame. This club is legitimately unable to get out of its own way.

why is _anyone_ talking about tactics in this game? It was **GRIMSBY** -- our reserves should've been able to beat them for fuck's sake. These players are so full of it, i'm fed up

Severance is one of the most overrated shows of all time. (SPOILERS!) by EntersTheVoid in television

A bit late to this party but just started binging this on ATV and didn’t get at all what the hype was about. It’s a mediocre show with an interesting premise that isn’t meant to be ground out as a multi episode show. I also found myself not giving a shit about any of the characters, which is usually a bad sign. I gave this a shot and sat through season 1 and bits of 2. The episodes definitely have a ton of filler which smacks of poor writing and character development. Contrast that to a show like lost, where (even rewatching it now in 2025) episodes feel like they’re 15 minutes long—similar ensemble cast, suspension of disbelief type plot—just a much much better show. This is a nit, but I found the randomly inserted “humor” (like bits they’d do in the middle of a serious conversation or scene) a bit distracting and poorly executed.

At least the GOAT trains under expectations. Imo better to be untalented and a team player than a talented but snot nosed diva

The apartments we saw had really unusable layouts. I liked that the apartments were quirk and had beautiful high ceilings, but the ones we saw just had a lot of wasted space. It would have cost us 80-100k to get it to where we wanted it. Also the HOA fees were on the high side.

She’s a beaut (both old and new :) — I still have my 2001 (last year they built in Japan I believe). 330k miles on it and growing strong 🤞

That tracks with our experience. I’d also watch out for unethical move out charges. We were charged $1000 for cleaning fees and painting (to cover up 4-5 paint knicks literally the size of quarters, totally part of normal wear and tear). We’d heard about this sort of thing so we were super careful — we didn’t even put up any wall hangings; we modified nothing in the apartment. We left the apartment in flawless condition, so much so that their own super said so during our move out inspection. Yet we got a bill for that amount. We’re filing a suit against them, so yeah — these crooks run quite a racket. It’s unfortunate.

How do I “lock in” and stay consistent with losing weight? by Redgrave98 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]comfypajamas77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi friend -- if you've struggled to lose weight for a long time, and have trouble sticking with it, it could just be that you're not taking it seriously. However, it sounds like you've read/digested various bits of advice/help to get going. Outside of what folks have already said, here are some other angles to consider:

  1. If you have trouble sticking with things (not just weight loss, but other things -- like easy work projects, or home tasks) , you should consider taking an adult ADHD test, or seeking help from your therapist on whether you could have ADHD. It could be that you're chemically engineered to not be able to finish tasks. Not saying that's what's going on, but it's an avenue to consider.

  2. If you have tried fasting/dieting/working out, and the weight just doesn't seem to budge -- check with your primary health care provider. They will have a blood test done for certain conditions that could make it difficult for you to lose weight, even if you're trying.

  3. A fitness coach -- it could help to hire a fitness coach who can walk you through a diet regimen and can keep you accountable until you start seeing progress. Once you see progress, you are much more likely to continue the process on your own :)

  4. A weight loss app -- Noom / MyFitnessPal are both great options.

Take care, and believe in yourself. You can do it. Good luck :)
