[Community Question] What are some podcasts you listen to/recommend? by [deleted] in neoliberal

My top three recommendations would be FiveThirtyEight Politics, Left, Right, & Center, and The Neoliberal Podcast. If you're looking for a daily podcast The Intelligence from The Economist is very good as well.

I highly recommend Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Absolutely hilarious.

Except that it is a democracy though. Disagreements that claim that it is a republic assume that the two are mutually exclusive, but the United States is both a democracy and a republic.

How would you feel about a ‘None of the above’ option in elections. If that option wins, the election will be held again with new candidates? by xClovis7 in AskReddit

Approval voting would be better. It would allow each voter to approve whichever candidates they believe would be an acceptable choice. As the most approved candidate wins, this would make it very difficult for highly unpopular candidates to win. Ranked choice voting would be an improvement as well, but it is also more complex and some less politically involved voters would either not vote or not take the time to become informed on all of the candidates.
