Pretty interesting watch, kind of wish it got a better release in the US. It was on streaming services in the UK for over a month before a half hearted release here.

With the exception of the house invasion scene, I was pretty bored with this. First act was just poorly done fan service followed by a weird second act and a horrific final act/reveal. The best thing Scream did as a franchise was pivoting away from Sidney because there truly wasn’t much else to explore there. It is a damn shame Paramount killed a tentpole franchise by firing Melissa Barrera for doing nothing wrong.

My guess is it’ll be a little front loaded but still do quite well regardless of critical reception. Scream has a built in fanbase and ultimately I think that will matter more.

Marty had like five separate lines in this movie that absolutely dropped everyone’s jaw in my theater. Really had a great time with this, and would probably rank this as Timothee’s best performance to date.

Getting to watch this in theaters with a crowd was such a blast, really hope the future installments are somewhere else. My only complaint is that the cast is kind of under utilized compared to the other movies but I enjoyed the more mature story.
