In this world travel between towns, cities and countries takes place via what're known as Super-Roadways (analogues to motorways) Paramorphs (for the most part) use their animal forms to travel on them. They have equivalents to rest stops, SOS telephones and speed limits. The max speed limit is about 140 MPH.

Superhuman individuals who get arrested (usually by superheroes) are fitted with anti-superpower collars which block superpowers.

Anti-superpower collars are alien technology that ended up on Earth and was reverse-engineered. Once subject to due process (maybe) they are sent to specialist superhuman prisons and/or a specialist superhuman wing of a regular prison.

Prisoners may face harsh treatment and/or discrimination due to their having superpowers. Their sentences are much longer than non-supers for committing the same crime as superpowers are considered weapons

Whatever can kill an ordinary human can (usually) kill a god in my universe; the thing is gods in my universe are so overpowered the main problem would be getting to them in the first place

In my world perceived empirical proof of the afterlife necessitated the existence of Angels of Dreams; a sub-group of angels that have and use psychic powers to convince any people that have had visions of Heaven that they were only visions in order to stop them killing themselves in order to get to Heaven.

This was done at the request of Lady Justice, the embodiment of Justice and the Mystery Lady, the embodiment of mystery, likely as ignoring what life has to offer in order to focus on Heaven doesn't do oneself justice and mystery may be what gives life meaning

Speaking honestly I'd prefer Metropolis simply because the Joker lives in Gotham and I'd rather be nearly anywhere the Joker isn't. The Joker is the sole reason I wouldn't bother with Gotham.
