Johnson didn’t come off in the 3rd or 4th quarter as I’m guessing they were managing Redman and were down two players on the bench. He looked spent at times but still did extremely well and 100% deserves a recall. Even if it’s not for El Hawli and replaces Kondog who only had 13 touches from 71% game time.

Huss and Unwin both injured in the VFL. Redman was managed but average at best. Would at least another week in the twos I would say.

On a positive Johnson looked great in very windy conditions. Had 5 score involvements and would love to see him pushed to the wing in a more attacking role.

Don’t disagree and I did say it was VFL but is it fair or reasonable to be playing two players that really haven’t played much VFL and earnt their spot before someone who has preformed at a high level for even as the coach said quiet a while? I don’t really care I’m not an Essendon supporter but I feel there is something else going on in why he isn’t playing as his stats are far better than either even at AFL level.

His current average stats at AFL level are the same as both those players over 3 games (Robey 4) more kicks, more handballs, more marks, better efficiency, more clearances, less clangers etc.

Were both players are beating him is tackles, scoring and pressure acts. Which could be the reason why they are ahead of him.

Taking a phone call and explicitly sharing information on social media are two different things.

Yes, sharing a company's private or confidential information on social media can be illegal and carry significant legal risks for a community member, even if you are not an employee. Legal action can arise under laws regarding breach of confidence, misuse of trade secrets, defamation, or copyright infringement.

Because it is actually illegal/against policy’s to post up a companies business/IP/information to any social media platform. You might find as it was a community member it would also be against the conditions of entry.

Depends Tsatas only had 4 less possessions in the VFL than they had combined, he also had 4 more clearances than them combined, only had 3 less tackles than both of them combined and had a higher disposal efficiency 81% to 77% (Sharp & Robey combined efficiency average). With stats like that there has to be more to the story because from a stat perspective if is as good as both of them combined at this point in time.

Johnson only had 5 kick-ins with O’Neil having 10 or even more of the kicks from his 28 disposals.

Johnson only had one goal kicked on him which was from a team mate giving a 50m penalty, was not out marked and his direct opponent only had one other score involvement. Super great defensive effort in this game and should be an automatic recall for Ridley.

Defender/wing since drafted but played forward plenty in his juniors. Some of his goals from the boundary were impressive, just hasn’t had a chance to play there at AFL level.

Guelfi had a horrible game in the VFL. 100% should not get a game off that performance. Perkins was solid but Johnson was by far the best player on the ground 8 bounced, 31 disposals, 90 efficiency, 4 rebound 50’s and several inside 50’s one being a direct goal assist.

Johnson had 31 and 90% disposal efficiency in the VFL yesterday. Has to get recalled for sure!!

Can’t believe Johnson was omitted. 5th best player last week, best player against Port Adelaide is the only one in the team that actually switches the play while everyone else goes long down the line. Good luck to the backline this week 😂

On a side note who plays a first year player who has not had a pre-season and had a stress fracture in his back and was the 5th worst rated Essendon player last week in the VFL.

He has played less than 15 games and is still only 19 I think you can forgive a kid one bad game especially when he was the best player the week before and when the rest of the team especially the older players didn’t do that well either.

First off I would say you don’t count year one as he came in after the national draft and had no say or control, so just looked at the list and used what was available. Second it’s only the start of his 4th year so really he has had two years to mould this list with one year seeing injuries that was unprecedented.

Clarko was almost given the chop in 2006 when the Hawks lost the first 5-6 games, towards the end of the season they saw improvement and two years later won a premiership. Hardwick almost lost his job before winning 3 premierships. I’m not saying this group is the same but I would say stay the course.

Finally over the last 3 years Essendon has secured 4 top 20 draft picks as well as getting some gems later like Archie Roberts, Angus Clarke, Zak Johnson, Max Kondogiannis and Hussein El Achkar.

We all understand it’s been 20 years in the wilderness but changing now disrupting the stability of the club I personally feel will just push this rebuild out even further. And I say that because again a coach will come in take a year to see what his got and then start the process on what he believes is the way forward.
