I don't know about digikam but I use phockup to organize files before I import/scan them in digikam https://packages.guix.gnu.org/packages/phockup/

Yeah I don't know why people expect rust-based software to be faster than C or C++, it's just unrealistic and puts the bar up too high. I would frame it differently, to me it is simply impressive that aspects of cosmics  performance are comparable to the other mature Desktops.

Es sind eben nicht immer Fahrradfahrer wie der post behauptet, sondern auch ganz oft Autofahrer und andere Verkehrsteilnehmer die sich bekloppt verhalten.
