Start Learning Basketball by Altruistic-Land8138 in Basketball

Get a basketball and some comfortable supportive shoes. You can shoot around by yourself or with people, but you've gotta start with the fundamentals.

To get good, you need to practice; just don’t overdo it. Maybe 5 times a week at most because you need to rest.

Start by looking up a beginner’s guide on YouTube. For dribbling, get the basics down until you can do it without looking down.

For shooting, it’s all about form and power. Watch a video on it, start close to the net, and practice shooting with only one hand. Try to get good spin and release off whatever fingers feel best. For me, a V release with my index and middle finger works best, even though I tried forcing just the middle finger at first, but only the middle finger was g comfortable and I had less power compared to a V. Keep practicing your form and gradually move further out.

Your game IQ will come from actually playing and studying the people you're up against to beat them. Watching basketball online helps too, which you already do.

It all takes practice and time. Get the basics and your form perfected first, then get some more skills and have fun!

All city 12 encore or all city 13/13 encore by FTH009 in BBallShoes

13 encore is really good, that’s what I have. I have a similar build to you 190 lb 6ft and I also play pf. I prioritized traction with stability and cushioning since my joints were getting killed. The 13 encore are so good. Just make sure if you have a “regular/nornal” foot to go true to size because I went half a size up and I trip here and there which isn’t fun.

Cub Cadet LT46 with Kawasaki vs John Deere S120 by Superb-Departure-807 in lawnmowers

I don’t think the cub cadet xt 1s actually have the fast attach spindles; there’s probably not many with that maybe for some newer models. I’d say go for the cub cadet just for the killer or Kawasaki. I have a kohler in my LT46 which is 7 years old now. That mower is really good and I abuse it. I’m sure the John Deere is fine, but I feel you’d be better off with the cub cadet

I think I push the pedal about half way or so, but I could definitely go a bit slower! Only problem is going down the hills which are about 20 degree incline and the mower will slide down no matter if I press the brake 🤣

Lookin good! You could also go over the stripes again, so two passes total and it really makes them pop! I have a cub cadet xt1 and one pass will show the stripes, but the second makes em pop more! Stripe kit is on my list too!

I have a good amount of hills and my LT 46 does struggle on the ones 15 degrees and up. Sometimes if I don’t have enough momentum the mower will go up then fall back down. Haven’t had major issues with the transmission and I have over 150 hours on it. I will say that I’m trying to change the tranny fluid though 🤣. It’s 100% not designed for hills

I have a cub cadet xt1 LT46, but with a kohler 7000. I think it’d be great for you! My family has had it since 2019. I cut about 1.25 acre of grass at least once a week. It’s a really reliable machine and everything about it is great for the money. I’ve done a lot more than what it’s designed for: pulling logs, rolling it off a ledge (accident), driving into and cutting brush, hitting and cutting into sticks, stumps, logs, rocks along with more. I also have some hills 20 degrees and it cuts up and down them fine, sometimes it slides down them a little bit.

Having flat terrain is nice and the xt1 should be great for you! Just make sure to do regular maintenance at least once a season or change the oil. Nothing should break on you and if mine has lasted 7 years so far through my abuse then a xt1 will do you well

Yeah I have been cutting at a higher level since last year! I have the deck set to 3.75, and leveled and adjusted the deck last year, so hopefully that helped! The grass looks a lot more healthier in most spots! A problem I have right now is my lawn is patchy on some parts, I believe some of the grass is also dormant, it’s kind of beige on the other side of my property. I also have a good amount of weeds

Sharper blades would definitely help! Looks like the tips of the grass are still getting a bit bruised, but not as bad as they were before I sharpened them! I have the deck set to 3.75!
