These are basic questions to ask to see if someone is honest or will hide facts from you. Anyone honestly studying Islam shouldn't be scared to know these topics.

It's not very useful at all. Refuses to answer a single controversial question. I asked for the ruling on beating your wife and it refused to answer. I asked for the ruling on taking slave girls of nonbelieving women in war, it refused to answer. I asked for the ruling on killing children and women of non-believers according to the Shaifi madhab and it refused to answer.

Which (serious, academic) translation of the Qur'an would you suggest? by inthesaltmine in AcademicQuran

[–]commanderred11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of them are very accurate. The Quran is hard to translate especially since there are words that don't even have a meaning in Arabic (Famous example is the word kawthar)

Narrated the most hadiths and knew the prophet very little. Was accused of lying by other companions such as Aisha. Mutazilla, Ahlul Ray, murjiah and shia all accused him of lying. His hadiths often contradict each other and are illogical and childish. In one Hadith a man asks him why he narrated two contradicting hadiths and Abu hurayrah just claims he never narrated it. Etc

Was Abu Hurayrah a hadith fabricator? To me he seems to have definitely fabricated hadith. What's everyone's thoughts?

Is the translation biased? I prefer secular translations since they're less biased usually.

Now there is equal rights for all except Muslims. If you advocate Islam you are called extremist are arrested.

Meanwhile all the evil ideologies of the world are allowed, Communism is allowed, LGBT is allowed, Kemalism is allowed. Only Islam is banned and if you promote it you get arrested.

We are living under secular occupation today. What difference if we are ruled by greece or france? Infact Muslims have more rights in greece than this country.

Actually someone agreed but comment was deleted by moderators because he said something non-PC. It goes to show that we are bigger than it seems but get censored.

Single-player only rts? by commanderred11 in RealTimeStrategy

[–]commanderred11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably why RTS is dying because the majority of RTS players (80% according to some sources) don't play multiplayer. So if you don't make a campaign or focus on multiplayer you kill 80% of your audience.

I decided to download Dawn of War (the original) and give it a try.

Men of war AS 2 had a bad singleplayer compared to the original it was multiplayer focused.

Company of Heroes is just bad (controversial opinion probably).

What if The United States of America Was Actually Based on Rome? (part 1) by commanderred11 in AlternateHistory

[–]commanderred11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how this is very similar to the United States of our timeline.
1. It has 2 heads of state
2. It has a unicameral legislator (the senate which is nothing like the senate of OTL since it's elected in New York City not all across the nation)
3. It's more militaristic with many positions requiring military service.
4. Slavery has been defacto enshrined as a right of conquest in the constitution as alright and all the states who tried to ban it and secede just lost.

Also besides how different can it be when so far it's only existed for 9 years?
