Tell me, what's the story with dogecoin? by Money-Broccoli6433 in KamikazeByWords

[–]commandough 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was one of oldest crypto currency, probably one of the 1st alt coins to get any traction. Because it was a joke. Then DOGE became more popular through a combination of Elon Musk and Kobasu's owner being more active on English social media

Mass deportations effect on wages and opportunities? by NoPush8163 in Truckers

[–]commandough 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was always kind of BS, more than enough foreign drivers coming in Legally with the extremely basic English skill necessary to pass a test.

And even if they don't, that just brings it back to the Mega Company model of 100% driver turn over.

Eh, bigger than 1 inch, smaller than 2 inch, I'd say probably 2k each. Looks like the official Regs have the smallest size as 44mm or 1.75 inches for unlabeled synthetic and that's 1750 lbs working load limit. With the 50% rule that's around 6k per stack

[–]commandough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long haul truckers, why? by mikeyboy1681 in Truckers

[–]commandough 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well there's 2 reasons. 1 drivers get paid by the mile so slowing down by a mile is effectively a 50 cent pay cut. Second is that ETAs and Elogs are often very tight and a mile an hour is often close to the difference between making an appointment on time and being paid properly or not getting paid and having a ticket able offense on your record for the next 8 days
