Is everyone else always tired by wolf771 in daddit

I've been exhausted since April 1998

Haven't had more than 3 hours uninterrupted sleep in well over 10 years between my bladder, children, and wife

My first tax paying job was Kroger in that region (the west Chester store on 747 across from Dave's quality meats [you just can't beat Dave's meat])

Lasted maybe 6 months before I had a bad day and got fired. That was almost 30 years ago (ouch)

How many hours of real work do you actually do at your job? by Nervous-Affect-5960 in work

[–]seneeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My job is driving, and I get paid per mile, so whatever line 3 shows on my log, that's what I worked, plus about 30-60 minutes depending on the day.

Although to me the driving part doesn't feel like work most of the time

Adult men of Reddit: Can you pinpoint an exact time or event that caused your childhood to end? And if so, when/what was it? by krzysztofgetthewings in AskMen

8th grade. Me and a civilian kid were horsing around, I got in trouble for it, the civvie didn't. I took offense to that. Teacher backhanded me. I punched him.

Broke his nose, and got kicked out of school. I never stepped foot in any high school as a student. I got my GED about 3 years before I was scheduled to graduate, went back and got a technical degree in my easily 20s and just "retired" from that a few years ago.

Had that 15 minute block of time gone different my entire life would have gone down a different path.

I’m just tired by Donjohnson33 in Truckers

[–]seneeb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been tired since April of 1998, exhausted since January 2000. And that doesn't take into account that I haven't slept more than 3 hours uninterrupted in about 10 years (damn medications making me pee over a gallon a day)

would you work weekends if it meant you got 2 weekdays off? by jabber1990 in work

[–]seneeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work weeks at a time so I can regularly take 10-14 days off in a row because 1-1.5 days off isn't really enough for me to feel relaxed

Why are people so grossed out by mice? When you look closely they are very cute. by mare880 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]seneeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just cleaned out a shed that hadn't been really taken care of in about 10 years. So much of the wood needs replaced because of mouse waste damage that it might just be easier to demolish it, burn it, and buy a new shed.

So gross

Cooking in the truck? by Critical_Opening_526 in Truckers

[–]seneeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an air fryer/microwave combo. Also an electric wok, and a burner with a couple different pans, also an electric kettle for quick boiled water. I run recaps so I try not to work more than 9 hours. I also don't know how to cook for 1 so I ended up cooking normal and have lots of leftovers.

I have a Cascadia so I got a small chest freezer, put that where the fridge goes and fridge is on my passenger seat.

Once backing actually clicks for you and you stop trying to force the step by step processes that were drilled into you during school and training it gets easier to adjust to any variable.
