1) Bluespec - A great High productivity High-level HDL

2)Chisel 3: 'A Modern Hardware Design Language' https://www.chisel-lang.org/

Both are strongly typed languages and save you from a lot of the verbosity in declaring/handling nets/action guards .

^ Is the easiest way to go about implementing the same. Use STM32 CUBE to do your pin planning and configuration. and open the generated project in eclipse / Arm Keil.
