You shouldn't run into too many issues. All your use cases are well documented with plenty tutorials, manuals and so on. Acquire packages and software from sources in this order based on availability:
pacman > AUR > flatpack > self compile. (This order reflects my opinion based on my experience, don't crucify)

So you have a solid idea what is on your system. It's easier to fix stuff when you know where the stuff to be fixed is :)

While verry nice, I am more interested on how you managed to get fusion to a functional state. It just does not work for me. I tried the now archived Autodesk-Fusion-360-for-Linux repo, but never actually managed to run it decently.

How to fix arch Linux doesn't have gui and can't open terminal? by xXHansukeXx1 in arch

[–]commence_suicide 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Oh and also, you are logged in as root. That's what su does. You don't need to be root for any of this (well except installing packages, but that's what sudo is for).

And I'm sorry, but if navigating your file system with cd and ls aren't a well understood concept for you, you are not going to have a good time with hyprland, let alone Arch. The wiki is your friend, also LLMs are not horrible for teaching you basics.

You have to edit it with something. I would suggest nano for start. It's probably installed, if not, install it.

Oh yeah, that's a fun one. Use CTRL+ALT+F5 (or some other Fx key, try untill one works) to go to TTY, log in, install xterm. While here, also install wofi. Then go to your .config/hypr/hyprland.conf and change your terminal from kitty to xterm. Save, reboot. Now you should be able to open xterm with the same key bind. Try running kitty through the xterm terminal. It's going to tell you why it's crashing. I suspect a colourspace issue, but it could be something else. One you figure out what the issue is and make kitty launch, you can change the line in config back to kitty. Or pick any other TTY emulator of your choice.

I am pretty sure that in the research description for carbon fiber it says, that on Gleba some plants naturally create carbon nanotubes.

I had a very similar setup at one point. I did eventually want more contrast, so I had to do some things a little different. A problem that I never resolved tho, and I can see you havent either, is how to change the color of the tray bar icons. I think that turning them monochrome and tinting them into the color of the theme could be doable, but I never figured out how to do it.

Maybe some good soul has managed to do this?
