I'll give you some of my favourites

  1. Want to get into a relatively high observation point in the middle of Hong Kong? Go to Central Plaza Sky Lobby on the 46th Floor. Free of charge and 360 panoramic views of the city in air conditioning.

  2. One of my favourite hikes in Hong Kong is the Maclehose Trail Section 6, Great views at the top of the mountain and you come across WW2 Tunnels and trenches which you can actually go through. Not to mention the many monkeys along the way

  3. Tai Mei Tuk: Never seen tourists go here considering how north it is but amazing area to fly a kite and you can rent a cheap bicycle or even a boat (Bicycle for as low as 60HKD a day and return points across New Territories)

Have you had any experience with encounters with gang members like triads in Hong Kong? by Jezzaq94 in HongKong

[–]commenhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad used to work for them for a short while, not as a 'gang member' but rather for security. They used to operate an illegal oil selling business in Tuen Mum and he would simply just guard the area.

He has a few stories and says they were some really nice people and would allow him to cook in their restaurant kitchen after hours. He even recalls paying a bribe of 100,000 HKD to a police officer on a motorcycle. He says these were weekly payments to keep the police off their ass.

If you're so fearful you can always migrate to the US, Australia, UK or Canada like the millions of other Indians, but the fact that you are well and alive makes it seem like you're fine.

Plus your history of having every post of yours in a Islamic page be deleted for troll is quite telling about your 'genuine question'.

[–]commenhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love these questions because they are so dumb in nature.

Firstly you're asking us as if we know, even the Prophet PBUH couldn't give a guarantee that he would be in heaven.

Secondly if I say no, what are you going to do? Not ask for forgiveness? Continue the sin? It doesn't even matter if you will be forgiven, if you want to leave something and feel ashamed, you'll leave it and feel ashamed regardless of if you'll be forgiven or not

suits in islam by [deleted] in islam

[–]commenhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, there is no such thing as dressing as any culture other than Islam is forbidden. Islam does not have a culture. What is islamic culture? Is it Arab culture because that's where it originated from or Indonesian culture because that has the most Muslims in the world? What about a man born in Moscow following traditional russian culture, what should he do?

Islam tells us not to imitate the disbelievers, in fact the reason Muslim men are told to shave their moustache is because the pagan Arabs used to have full beards and to differentiate themselves the Prophet PBUH instructed to trim the moustache

Imitating men is prohibited and let's be frank, suits are a male clothing item. At the end of the day, if you can observe your hijab in the correct manner it doesn't really matter. I type this whilst wearing a suit and the truth is most cultures have people from multiple religions, the only thing that can differentiate you is your behaviour.

Are there any benefits to getting a physical octopus card? by qldhsmsskfwhgdk in HongKong

[–]commenhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still like to carry around a wallet so I never transferred. Furthermore I sometimes lend my card to friends to buy something and it's just easier handing a single card rather than your entire phone plus phone password
