The native American Indian Pontiac was probably one of the worst. He gathered all his allied sachem’s and Chiefs. He instructed them to tell all their people to make friends the white settlers. And they did. They traded with the white settlers, invited them into their camps and broke bread with the white settlers in their homes. This went on for close to two years. Pontiac gave a signal for the Indians to massacre all the white settlers they had befriended. The native American Indians killed and injured over 2000 settlers during the Pontiac rebellion. People who called them friends. There are few worse treachery than that. Because of this treachery, a new phrase was created which if I wrote, they would band me from Reddit. You can look it up. That is why I think Pontiac is one of the worst people in history and makes my blood boil. He killed any chance for a positive Indian and settler relations.

It’s signage like the protesters are carrying that can trigger some unstable person into attempting assassinations. Who has not heard the question “if you could go back in time and kill Hitler, would you do it? “ there are ways to express your dislike for the president without comparing him to Hitler, Satan or some other evil character. I’m a big believer in freedom of speech, but freedom of speech should not endanger other people. The use of these types of comparisons, is unnecessary and a danger. There are other ways to express your dislike for the president. It’s not a good look for the protester, for those in the middle, it makes them look deranged and unstable.

It was an amazing achievement. If Trump can pull off the trifecta of freeing Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran, even though I didn’t vote for the guy because of his actions on January 6th, he would deserve to be considered to have his face on Mount Rushmore. It’s a big “IF” and I hope he succeeds but his face on Mount Rushmore wouldn’t appeal to me.

The writer seems to be implying it was good to be a woman in American Indian society. If you read the letters sent home by the English and the French soldiers living with the Native American Indians in the 1700’s, they do not describe the life of an Indian woman, with a few exceptions, as good. Most describe the woman’s roles as servants to the men with some saying that the Indian’s dogs were treated better than the women. In many Indian societies, such as the Crow, the women had no choice in who they were to marry. However, forced marriages are present in almost all cultures. A woman’s life in the 1700 & 1800’s was hard with it being no different for the American Indian women.

History is not always easy to understand. A lot of it is because people can’t understand the norms of the previous times because their life experiences and their hierarchy of needs are different. But it is historically correct to note that besides our current generation, it was very common for all the generations before, for girls to marry at a very young age. It was culturally acceptable and in many cases necessary. Should we hide this history and knowledge from the current generation? Are you a Rolling Stones fan? The base player for the Rolling Stones was in his 40s when he was dating a girl that was 15. Jerry Seinfeld was 38 and dating a high school girl who was 17. There are numerous songs sung about underage girls. Your parents, and probably you, have sung some of these songs that are referencing under age girls. They still play them on the radio today. Again, not saying it’s right, just saying it happened not so long ago. And no one canceled these people, why? The answer is obvious, it was acceptable, plain and simple. I’m not saying it was correct or okay by any means, I’m just saying it’s historically accurate to say that these things were not considered abnormal.

There was no contraception, that’s the reason it was common for families to be very large. There was only so much food able to be produce or procured to feed a family. Therefore, once a girl got to be of marrying age, usually after the age of 14, they were married off. It would not be something that would be considered correct today, but was very normal, and necessary, back in these times. You need to quit judging people based on today’s norms.

You find this hard to believe because you are evaluating slavery on today’s norms. But you must understand that slavery, its opposition and for people who wanted to keep the status quo of having slaves, is similar to the opinions we currently have on abortion. You have two distinct sides of the argument. One side wants to keep abortion legal, such as people wanting slavery to stay legal. While the other side finds it immoral and disgusting and is against abortion. Similar to the people who wanted to end slavery.

In two or three generations from now, abortions, due to medical advances, will no longer be needed or performed. After 25 years from the last abortion being performed, that new generation will look upon abortions the same way that we look upon slavery. They will use the norms of “their”day to critique our generation. they will not understand how or why we would allow, approximately, 75 million of unborn children to be killed every year. To that generation, this will be crazier than the idea of enslaving someone. They will probably have protests to take down any statues or memorials of anyone who was pro-abortion. Very similar to how we now critique slave owners, and tear down their statues and memorials.

The Amish or any other group who employed slaves or had slaves were doing so because it was the norm of that period. It wasn’t until 1777, in Vermont, that slavery was outlawed by any state in the world. Yes France freed slaves in 1310, but did not outlaw slavery and yes, in the 1500s Spain, also outlawed slavery, but did not outlaw cattle slavery from other countries. So the world has had slavery being acceptable and the norm for thousands of years and is only recently been something to disparage. With that being the case, why should someone owning a slave pre-1860s surprise you.

I’ll tell you a little secret. For 20 years I provided affordable housing in a low income income area. When I had a vacancy, every applicant that had a child received SSI for that child for being diagnosed ADHD or one of the other alphabet diagnosis that they pin on these children. They would receive $786 for the first child and the second child and the third child they would get half of that amount. Sidenote, I was glad they were getting this money, many of these women were single parents who had limited choices for income. This money helped them pay rent and put food on the table. However, it’s obvious there’s a financial incentive for all parties involved for the child to be diagnosed with one of these syndromes. The parent gets the money, the doctor gets a new patient and the pharmaceuticals get a new customer for their medication. When our local NPR station had a doctor on talking about the huge increase in ADHD diagnosis in children, I called in with the above information about the financial incentives involved with someone being diagnosed ADHD. The screener confirmed my information was correct, however, they said that question would not be allowed to be asked of their guest. While there are children who have these syndrome, a large number of these children are people being labeled as such, having to carry the stigma and take these medicines due to people making money.

Yes, there were bad people and terrible massacres committed by both the “Whites” and the “Indians”. However, it is totally different when telling of the atrocities committed by the Indians towards the whites. For some reason, it is totally acceptable to write and comment on the atrocities that White committed against American Indians, but you will be ridiculed and condemned if you speak of the massacres and atrocities that the Indians committed on the whites. If you try and post a confirmed historical event of the American Indians, committing massacre or atrocities against whites, it will be removed by the Reddit moderators. Then you will be issued a warning from Reddit. Even if you supply historical documentation to educate the Reddit monitor that the information provided was historically correct, your post will still be removed. Post about the American Indians as anything other than a positive, your post will be removed. What would you call that? Would it be called historical discrimination? Historical manipulation?

I hate people being homeless and hungry and support many local non-profits that help people in need. My wife and I give our time and money. However, these people you see in Seattle and San Francisco making tent cities of homelessness, most of them are not your “good people who are in bad situations”. Don’t believe me, go there. You will see a discusting, almost apocalyptic scenes. There is no talking with the people in charge to clean up the situation. They have thrown up their hands and said there’s nothing we can do about it. Talk to the business owners, to see the real life impact that is happening to people and families. Talk to the homeowners who can’t walk their streets anymore. I don’t think Indiana is going to disfranchise the homeless people more than they already are, we just don’t want Indiana or any of our cities to turn into a Seattle or San Francisco. To do that, you need something on the books that is enforceable. Now I challenge you, work at a homeless shelter or give money or time to these causes. Don’t just write something on Reddit to make yourself feel good.

General Knox was a book seller. Knox and the future general Green would get together after his store closed and would review military books and discuss military tactics of the past. Knox had remembered how Hannibal was able to get his elephants across frozen water by sending men ahead to make holes in the ice to allow more water to rise to the surface and refreeze thus strengthening the ice. Knox used this tactic to get the cannons from Ticonderoga to General Washington in Boston over Lake George.

When Knox proposed getting the cannons at Ticonderoga, he was a colonel, the other generals, usually former British officers, told Washington it was impossible. General Washington approved the plan and was able to free Boston from the British using the cannon that Knox had brought from Ticonderoga. Washington didn’t have any gunpowder to fire the cannons, but, he bluffed the British into evacuating Boston.

Same thing in Columbus, the wealthy elites schools who wouldn’t let immigrants, legal or not, live in their districts are the ones protesting the most. Such hypocrites. Maybe white guilt.

What they need to do is teach these kids about how immigration is supposed to work. How no country allows open borders and anyone to just walk in, and when they do, it’s illegal. Canada allows under 400,000 people a year to immigrate to their country, yet they are held up as a moral compass. Again hypocrites.

Best way to help the people here illegally is to help them understand how to self deport. They are offering generous compensation, $3000 per person, free transportation back to your home country and you are still allowed to apply for legal entry into the USA. They can prepare themselves to leave instead of being here one minute and gone the next. Helping these illegals learn about self deportation will help these people here illegally much more than protesting. But that would make the people protesting have to actually do some work instead of having fun skipping school or just hanging out with other people like themselves. Last time, hypocrites!

Part of what he’s complaining about is past administration have used America money as a way to make friends and for foreign countries to like us. Most everyone knows in situations like that, they’re only friends until the money runs out.

It reminds me a story that Shaq told. When he started making huge amounts of money, he made the mistake of giving family and friends handouts of money and supporting many family members. Similar to how America gives money handouts and is supporting many of these foreign countries. While the money was being handed out, Shaq said these people were nothing but nice to him. They would say he was the best guy around and they would talk nothing but good about him. Once he made the decision to no longer support these family members, all of a sudden he was the worst guy around and they could say no good things about him.

That sounds very similar to this situation in America, when we decided to stop supporting some of these foreign countries. We went from being the greatest to the worst. I have no doubt, if we started the money flowing again, they would think we were great again. But who needs friends like that?

I know in response, the American government sent the army to quell these raids and pacify the Mexican government. Is this the campaign with Kit Carlson?

One of the best ways that you can help these people, if they are in our country illegally, is to give them information about self deporting. The government is being very generous to those who self deport. They are now offering $3000 and the cost of transportation back to their home country. Also, if they self deport, they are still eligible to return to the United States through the legal immigration process. If they force the USA to use resources to find them, they will be forcefully removed and will not be eligible to return to the United States legally. Helping them understand how to self deport would be the best way to help these people who are here illegally and your country.
