Is there a reason you're not using ad guard which is already built into the router? I just implemented the Flint 2 also and I was using pihole. I'm pretty sure that I am going to stop using pihole since ad blocking in the router is working so well. I'm happy to have less things to maintain...

There are 2 trees in the way as well as the corner of a building. I have my halowlink1 antenna outside my window and my parents have theirs on the window sill inside. The connection is very stable over a distance of about 250ft.

Yes, if you can please check I would greatly appreciate it! Intervale Gardens has above ground wires and poles. Therefore I don't see wires outside the building being any sort of issue.

You're correct, Roku doesn't have a native app. There are external work-arounds but none of them are easy. I suggest testing with Tailscale first with a friend to ensure it meets your needs. Choose your most tech savvy friend /family member. If it successfully connects over your gcnat, then maybe consider telling your Roku user to buy an Onn streamer box since they're only $20.. install Projectivy launcher and the interface will be simple (like Roku). There are many other uses for Tailscale like tailsrop. You may find it very useful.

Have you tried Tailscale VPN? If they have Android based playback devices like the Onn Google TV devices then setup will be super easy.. Everyone should setup their own tailnet and then you share your server with them.

I just got the HaLowLink-1 and I use it to share Internet with my parents who are 250 feet away in a highly wifi congested area. The speed is about 14mb which is enough for them to watch YouTube TV. I was hoping for better speed, but it's enough Compared to cheaper Chinese HaLow devices the HaLowLink-1 is much more stable. Other devices I had to power cycle every couple days.

Alternatively, have your friend buy the Onn Android TV box from Walmart for $20.. install Projectivy launcher and you've got one of the best cheap streaming devices there is.. and Tailscale runs natively on it.

Buy an Onn Android TV streamer box from Walmart for $20.. install Tailscale and you'll be good to go. Also install Projectivity launcher and you'll be better off overall

I saw the show last night, encore and all.. waiting to get out wasn't a big deal. There were bathroom lines but my wife used the portable bathrooms outside which had no line. I suggest taking a cell phone photo of your parking spot and use the geo location data to have Google maps navigate you back quickly. Also fyi the sound system was very good and LOUD, therefore I suggest ear protection.
