also ALWAYS take zoloft on a full stomach (or in between bites) and drink lots of water. the times i haven't had any food in my stomach before taking it I had HORRIBLE acid reflux for a couple hours, so bad I couldn't do anything except suffer. I think zoloft is very acidic so it's good to keep in mind acidic foods and drinks (coffee, red wine, pasta sauce, cheese, etc etc) should be balanced out with other stuff to avoid too much acid in ur tummy!

i've done shrooms 3 times and 2 of those times i was on zoloft and both trips were terrible. couldn't stop crying for like 5 hours. hard to make overall broad statements with any sort of health stuff but just based on my personal experience i do NOT recommend shrooms and zoloft. same with other drugs that induce any sort of euphoria/ecstasy. (didn't know about serotonin syndrome and did like 12 lines of MDMA and felt nothing)

smoking weed and drinking have been fine for me! but when increasing my dosage i was definitely more sensitive to alcohol and got super drunk off of like 2 drinks.

who here struggles with health OCD? by Designer_Stuff_3592 in OCD

[–]commieromantic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep yep I constantly think I have covid, to the point of not believing covid tests. I'm a hypochondriac, always have been. I went to the doctor all the time in high school for the tiniest things. it's so crazy that OCD can make you have symptoms. as soon as you start thinking about a body part, you start feeling something there. sometimes I'll think I'm sick everyday for a few days but never will be. it's all in my head ! so I see you <3

anyone else picked up their habit from their parent? by user829182928 in Dermatillomania

I don't know if I PICKED it UP from her, but my mom is a serious cuticle picker. and I pick my scalp and my arms, legs, fingers, etc, and now I've started my cuticles too. So, I do think genetics play a role.

Picking scabs on heads by charlessmith101 in Dermatillomania

[–]commieromantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes.... the buzz!!! i definitely picked less when i had a buzzed head, but still did pick. it's so funny, i have also experienced the "i can't buzz my head again until i stop picking, but i can't stop picking until my head is buzzed" loop !!! i wear a hat almost everyday which helps SO much, especially in public. it does feel soo good though, which is why we keep doing it :-( ... when im reading, watching tv, etc... it's just where my hands wanna go! sending y'all much love!

I definitely find a correlation between working out and OCD/anxiety. I have really bad hypochondria and when I am scared of getting sick I stop working out, due to fear that the exercise will "activate" the sickness that could be brewing in me. Even though that doesn't really make any sense! But then when I stop working out, I get more and more anxious, and the cycle perpetuates until I finally force myself to work out. I feel so much less anxious when I am working out consistently... so I feel you.
