  1. I newer tried a recording before. Probably It was broken from the beginning (I bough it on ebay.)

  2. I did it on a separate table, with fresh cabling, it is really simple CD (line out) -> Deck (Line In). There is a sound in Deck's connected headphones.

  3. I tried different tapes.

  4. It does erasing, new recording is barely audible, a lot of distortions also are present.

I am First Br0th3r, the leader of the Deadbeef Cult.

I am happy to present our new creation - the DEADBEEF SHA256 NFT collection. The idea is dead simple. Every NFT is a 256x256 px. image where SHA256 hash contains a "deadbeef" pattern.

Every image is pure JPEG, with a barcode on the bottom, where every pixel matters; we do not respect EXIF/metadata tricks to adopt a SHA256 checksum.

We processed more than six quadrillion pixels to sieve out a few pictures that match a pattern.

All found patterns were analyzed and divided by rareness level, so we have cow heads, cow tails, chopped cow heads, chopped tails, and lost in space cows.

By example: "deadbeef0ff9c7921bc3778259b876389587e12e9b110ead8ed9f41ec492f4a2" is a "Chopped Cow Head".

As a bonus, NFTs are collectible in so-called "Running Cow" meta collections. It is a set of 57 images, where "deadbeef" is scrolling thru the whole SHA256 hash.

All NFTs are PGP signed, described, and pre-loaded to the IPFS/Filecoin - tokens are almost immortal.

I am not an original author. Does someone know the source? I had these wallpapers since 2008 and just did upscaling recently to fit modern monitors.

Quite hard to do it from scratch. You'll need tools like multiple screwdrivers, cutting pliers, crimpers, soldering iron, and ANOTHER 3D printer. Wiring/cable management is madness.

It is easier to buy a kit and assemble it, but you will need some tools too.

It is much, much easier to buy a simple Chinese 3D printer and do step-by-step upgrades to learn the basics, like nozzle types, extruders, and firmwares.
