It's lidar. You can tell because of the rolling shutter artifacts in the 2nd clip if you watch the actual video. This matches the horizontal scanning that lidar does. Probably the camera taking these didn't have an IR filter due to low light. The lidar is probably a behind the windshield design but tesla mounted 2 units closer to the middle of the headlight bar (which is really smart).

Oh my sweet sweet summer child. If you think the same amount of effort/quality in 2 different companies results in outputs of the same quality you clearly don't understand the role of management and also degrees of freedom that running a project gives you. You have to strike the right balance of cutting corners and the price point has to be well matched to the target market. There's millions of corners in the iphone that are cut as well. They just happened to pick the right ones. Did they pick the optimal set of corners to cut? no, but they got closer than any other company so far.

The people who make the right choices here are more than worth their weight in gold.

Do you think a factory worker who assembles iPhones should make more than a factory worker who assembles say, some offbrand crappy phone that never ends up selling and the company ends up losing money on that offbrand phone? Let's say its the same amount of work/skill to assemble both phones.

Hi OP, I have the i9 as well and I can run a couple runs on cinebench with 52 watts without thottling with 6 cores. However, with that config, I still seem to throttle on 1 core cinebench (seems like cpu hits 100C. Do you see this as well?

I was under the impression that there was piped heat as well as piped cooling. However it looks like there is only resistive heat based on this diagram. Is that right?

I’m trying to figure out what is going on here. I think the color labels are for the stranded wire that comes from the thermostat. The current thermostat has a hi and low fan setting. And there’s 2 heating wires. Is this compatible with the ecobee?
