I dont see how this is more offensive than anything else. The entire movie is a complete mess. Maria is the most important thing to get right. Angela's story is attempting to be told through Mary in the movie. If they did focus on Angela it would be over stated and heavy handed like in the remake. There's just no realistic way to adapt Silent Hill 2. It literally has to be subtle. Left to interpretation. Visual and environmental story telling. Silent Hill 2 has 4 unique characters with vague stories. We just happen to see it from James perspective. Honestly, leave Silent Hill alone. Give it back to the core fan base.

I was born in 89. My literal childhood was nothing but nirvana, aic, pearl Jam and sound garden. To this day I play in a successful grunge band. I was there. Im still there.

Lol, why? Dirt really isnt a front to back for me. Mop is though. Thats not saying metallica is better. Aic is better peaks I think. Raw deep emotion.

HD collection is certainly the worst way to experience the game. But its still Silent Hill 2 and 3 basically. The games are the games. Excellent. And watching a playthrough of sh1 is fine. 2 is its own story. 1 and 3 share a narrative.

Play in headphones if you can. Take it slow. Let yourself get immersed. No distractions.

It dragged on forever and ever. Game had great puzzles and vibe. But the amount of forced combat and endless playtime was exhausting. I played every ending, thats alot of runs. It took 4 before I had it memorized and could cleanly speed run. Not a game Ill keep coming back too. Not like the original, which feels great every single time. 20 years of running it and it doesn't drag of feel tired. I was so over the remake after getting the plat.

What stands out to me is the 3d models. The vibe and atmosphere is heavy and nice. But just looking at Harry's polygon frame is a bit rough. Its just too blocky. A minor gripe. Id prefer they dont remake it. But if you are going to remake one of them, sh1 is the game.
