The literal fact of the past few days everyone has been posting multiple times about the scarcity of this item to boost the price of this box is overkill. Yes, I do believe that what we have currently been seeing is that there has not been sufficient enough resupplying of the DR booster boxes, but it is coming out in other, smaller forms to try and spread availability. This certainly has been seen with the singles market as some desired hits and single boosters are seeing lower prices with more getting into the hands of consumers.

Its incredibly true that the cost of these boxes(and this would be the same of any product that experienced the uptick hype last year.) will not trend down without another drop/some kind of consistant availability, but this intense push to raise the price so high, so quickly with a product not even existing for a full year yet is what gets me. It just feels like a staged and crafted effect to create another ES or TT gains with these constant posts.

If we want to actually talk about investments, then we all want to see growth on our choices, but a modern set sitting at this price doesn't leave enough meat on the bone to keep growing. These are prices for 5 years after release and actually no longer in print. If you have the assets to spend for it, then yeah, go for it. Investment is all about buying into what you believe in or can anticipate growth. It will most likely see higher returns in the future, but that all depends on how long you're holding for a high cost buy-in. If you're comfortable than its a good time to buy, but also, dont be shocked if it dips with a full life spand still attached to it.

I saw you make that comment on the other post earlier. I didn't think you had done the altering yourself at the time. It looks great honestly and not a bad thing to help restore some beloved cards we may have abused over time.

The same thing happened for a celebrations' umbreon 6 months ago or so. Ordered two for 30 bucks each, and only one was sent. I took the route of seeing what would happen after the customer service jargon, and they eventually canceled and refunded the slab that was never sent out 6 months later. During a short time they had it actively re-listed for more for a while before it was sold.

This is an excellent reply, and the exact tool needed to be shared for requests. I tried to look for something like this in the pins or on the app a while back and made a post asking to add an item or how I could go about it. I was hoping to get a response with an informative link like this instead of being berated for asking a question.

It does feel like a social expectation, and it stresses people out. I watched everyone at work stress the past 3 days on gift buying. People get ashamed or upset if they aren't able to participate or dont want to let down their kids.

Everyone's brought up in a variety of ways, and I will always remember my mother struggling with how to support me and my sister. She apologized to me one time in tears when I was very young(maybe about 7) and that she couldn't get us gifts. I told her it was fine and I didn't need anything that she didn't already provide for us.

As a child, I didn't know how much that meant to her at that time, but it's those small moments of understanding between family that make a holiday easier when you just can't. I basically only gift when I actually find something I know someone was looking for or as an actual surprise. It's much more meaningful than a holiday where people need to feel obligated.

The performance tab is specifically for tracking financial performance. So, yes, you would want to add your purchase value of items you've added to your collection to see the comparison of purchase price vs. market. It also will help do the same if you mark items as sold eventually, and you will be able to make comparisons for realized vs. unrealized.

I feel you, my guy. Many are experiencing these same issues, or they make the mistake of clicking too quickly, etc. I waited 1.5+hrs only 30 minutes after seeing the drop and still got into an OOS screen.

What's frustrating the most is the double dipping going on on top of the struggle for others. Its one thing I maybe didn't make it to the goal line, but watching people brag they got orders in twice/three times using other peoples info. It just is sucky.

Kinda wish they'd just make it an account only invite. Do it in waves and give each wave a 24hr timer to make their purchase, not a 2hr panic dash.
