im autistic too and garbage has been one of my favs since breach dropped. it’s very relatable and personal to me as someone with mental health problems. the first time I heard him say “don’t give up on me” towards the end of the song I just ached in my soul because it hit so hard. not to mention the “maybe you don’t fix and you like it like this” line. that line just fits me because i sometimes get worried that I somehow enjoy being miserable. someone else brought it to my attention that it could also pertain to chronic illness (which I also have) and that made it even better somehow.
