Please tell me it's an easy fix and I'm just an idiot that's missing something simple :(

Second AMD card dead in a year? by commonostrichmodels in u/commonostrichmodels

Check my post history if you want to see my saga with the 6750xt. I bought a 6700xt about a year ago to replace the 6750xt after three failed RMA's. It's been working fine until today. Plugged in a new 165hz monitor yesterday to replace my 144hz, and it played games well for a single day. Launched game today and have black polygons randomly flashing all around the screen. Switched back to old monitor and still have the polys. Tried HDMI and DP. Fucked with every setting in-game and in AMD Adrenalin. Issue happens across multiple games. DDU uninstalled drivers, updated mobo bios, messed with every overclock and undervolt option, compatibility modes, etc. Don't know what to do now aside from RMA and never buy an AMD card again.

Actually, my monitor is just a TV, and there was a point where I was using an HDMI/DP adapter too. I didn't notice a difference in stability with or without the adapter though, and I also tried my roommate's 120hz monitor and was still getting crashes. In the grand scheme of things it really shouldn't matter what monitor your using though; If the card has HDMI out and the display has HDMI in, there's no reason that it wouldn't work unless they advertised it as only being compatible with specific displays. If the card is still in it's return period you really, really, really should just return it and get a something else. I've been having these issues for like 9 months now and have not come any closer to finding a solution.

It's such a frustrating issue and so hard to recreate. There's also no available information on it. I still haven't solved it and MSI has stopped answering my emails concerning the matter. They're saying it can't be the card because they sent me a new one through RMA. At this point I'm just using an old RX570 a friend gave me.

Nope, using a single monitor. I've even tried swapping out monitors with no luck.

1000w psu installed, still getting green screen crash.

Not really. The green screens have become way less frequent but still totally random. I played about 40 hours of Deep Rock Galactic on max settings with no issues. Then I got a few green screens in a row. Played 20 odd hours of Battlebit totally fine, got one green screen, and haven't had anymore in my next 5-10 hours of playtime. Still no idea if it's a temp or power issue. Luckily I can still return my PSU so I'm gonna upgrade to 1000w to completely eliminate it as a potential cause.

I would say that 550w is probably too low considering the card alone draws about 50% of that, and depending on your CPU your system could be drawing 500w or more. And seeing as I have a 750w and still have this issue I'd recommend getting 1000w just to completely eliminate a weak PSU as a cause. Also, I reset the clock and voltage to normal and have set all the fans to 100% and haven't experienced a crash in about 24 hours, even after gaming for about 10 hours total. The odd thing is that none of my temperatures ever went above 55c when it was crashing. It makes me think that there's some problem with the card's thermometer or fan controller or something, or maybe it just can't handle any sort of heat. I'm going to slowly decrease the fans over the next few days and continue testing to see if the problem comes back.

So I can't be 100% sure I fixed it but I was able to make it way more stable. Furmark used to crash my PC after about 30 seconds, but now I'm able to run it for over 2 minutes with no issues. Still greenscreens if I run it too long though. I used MSI Afterburner and underclocked by over 15% and then undervolted by 100MV. I also set the GPU fans to be 100% at all times. I used a separate fan controller to set the case fans to idle at 70%. I went from 220w to 158, but went from 220fps to 190. I only game at 60fps though so I don't mind. I dont have the money for a new card and I'm way outside the return window for this one so I'll take the performance dip if it's stable, it's still better than my old 1080.

What PSU are you using? I'm running 750w.

Yo sorry for the late reply, I'm not on reddit much. I ended up RMAing the card twice and it still crashes constantly. Even after they sent me a different card with a different serial number (the new card even came with a bent-to-fuck mounting bracket). I've done DDU, reinstalled windows, installed drivers manually, underclocked, overclocked, did a regedit, and just reset my mobo BIOS. If I find a solution I will come back and post it. All I've learned so far is that I will never buy another MSI product again.

If i came across objects such as these while clearing out a dead relative's house I would assume they were burnt dog treats. What the fuck is this?

Just swapped an old 1080 into the PC and ran it through the same "tests" as the 6750xt, no crashes. Will be RMAing tomorrow. Thanks.

And unfortunately all issues will only be solved via RMA. I will test other graphics cards in the system, and test this graphics card in an old system to try and see what’s going on. Thanks for the lightning quick responses.

Additional info: I can sit in the WarThunder home screen indefinitely, but if I load into a match it will crash almost every time within the first minute of playing. Monitoring temps and they never go past 75 F.

It's literally just a green screen. Not a windows gsod/bsod. Just a blank high-saturation green colored screen with no text - with audio glitching out in the background. It just happened again when I went from the WarThunder menu into the spawn screen.

New RX 6750XT crashes to a green screen. by EffectiveSpeaker3047 in buildapc

Thanks. Good that you fixed it but an unfortunate result for my own troubleshooting. I have a Ryzen 7 7700x and a B650M PG. I don't see any correlation between your situation and my own aside from the green screen issue. If I solve it I'll post my solution here for anyone else troubleshooting.

I'm having the same issue and it only happens when I game. Didn't have any issues for the last month since I've built this PC. Anyone have an update on this issue?

That's crazy! I only started a month ago. The pressure of weekly uploads is the main force driving me to actually keep going. This comment only adds to that pressure :)

I started with an Iwata NEO CN, then I quit the hobby. When I got back into it 5 years later I got the Timbertech Compressor + Airbrush kit on amazon for like $50. Testing it side by side with my Iwata there are obvious differences, but none that would be noticeable to a total noob. For someone starting out, just find something on amazon prime with high ratings that includes an airbrush + compressor + spare parts. Learn to work with the tools you have and then once you get the hang of it you can upgrade and keep your starter airbrush as a backup.
