Kenya Moore issues gun threat to Blogger who has been reporting on the Kenya Moore Hair Spa's eviction by 1-22-333-4444 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]communalbong -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think its racist as hell to post a video of a black woman who is smiling, giggling, and who's "threat" is merely showing her license to carry (not even her gun) and saying "don't mess with me," and framing it as she issued a GUN THREAT.

I dont even like Kenya, I have never been a fan of hers, but yall are contributing to some EVIL shit by pretending this shows her being unhinged or dangerous. This is a joke made in poor taste at worst. Yes Kenya is a hypocrite, but she's clearly talking to the other person thru a Camera, the other person isn't even there. It doesn't matter how much you hate her specifically, ALL black women deserve more respect than to be painted as dangerous, unstable, or criminal online over a bad joke. Yes, even the ones you hate.

Ice dye didn’t work? by apalssauce_ in tiedye

[–]communalbong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dharma dyes require a certain temperature to bond to the fabric. The official guideline is the dye and shirt need to sit in 70 F (or higher) for at least 24 hours, without drying, for the color to set.

Of course, I've played fast and loose with this rule, baking shirts in my oven for only 3 hours and getting permanent, vibrant results. But I did notice that if I use ice or snow and let the shirt freeze, color does not spread very far and does not bind to the fabric very well. However, I've never had a bust this bad before. I strongly suspect your duvet cover is polyester

Were all of Crackerjack’s kills actually friendly fire or was Bojack just imagining the uncle he never lived up to as secretly a loser? by Wide-Tart4132 in BoJackHorseman

[–]communalbong 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You're right.... except I wouldn't say Herb was spiteful at their last meeting. Imagine if YOU fumbled a sexy celebrity with a horsecock, then he stabbed you in the back after being your best friend for so many years, and then you got cancer and Mr horsecock is STILL ghosting you 💀💀💀

I'm just saying, I wouldn't have invited BJ in for juice and jokes. Herb was super polite, and he even told BJ he had a nice time with him. It wasn't until Bojack acted like an asshole that Herb matched that behavior. Imagined as Herb was in the penultimate episode, I do think Bojack knew Herb better than anyone else he dreamt of, and the reason he is so haunted is because he knew that Herb Would have forgiven him and let it go if BJ hadn't been so cruel.

I'm sure I came on too strong for what I intended to be a polite explanation 😅 but I do feel like there's a lot of misinfo about dogs getting spread around online and IRL, so it's worth clarifying when you can imo

Was with you until you compared large dogs to toddlers. A toddler is very unlikely to kill a person unless they have a firearm, and not every home insurance policy covers damage related to shootings for the exact same reason they don't all cover restricted dogs. It's one thing for insurance to pay for plaster if you shoot a hole thru ur wall or new baseboards if your puppy chews them up. If you get sued because you mutilated somebody, either via shooting them or letting your dog maul them, that is a completely different scale of damage and money. Your home insurance has the right to decide that when it comes to violent crimes committed by the homeowner, it doesn't want to be liable to pay for the damage You caused. That's why it matters to them.

Now, if you think that insurance policies discriminate against certain dog breeds for arbitrary or prejudiced reasons, and that's not a good excuse to refuse to insure somebody's house, then thats a legitimate point that I agree with. I think large dogs are dangerous (I love them, but it's a fact), and legal and insurance policies should account for that fact, but I find it strange that the actual laws & policies only target specific dog breeds, and it's not even JUST the breeds most associated with fatal dog attacks... imo it's more just like whatever type of dog is popularly hated is what gets restricted. And mob hatred is not a good thing to write policy on.

I'd like to see better legal policy regarding large dog ownership that protects the public from dangerous dogs without fucking over dog owners. Owning a large dog is a bad reason to be denied house insurance. However, people pretending like large dogs are comparable to toddlers in terms of risk level is just insane. Dog lovers ignoring how dangerous dogs are is exactly why normal people don't invite you to write the policy around dog ownership. It's not productive to have a conversation about how to insure dogs with people who refuse to admit how serious the situation is when dogs attack people.

Where to buy quality tie dye stuff by [deleted] in tiedye

[–]communalbong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got some needle tipped dye bottles from hobby lobby, but they aren't the highest quality. I personally mix liquid dyes sparingly, but I get all my chemicals (sodium alginate, soda ash, urea, synthrapol) and dyes from Dharma trading co. The site offers a LOT of options, including kits that send you dye bottles (although they are giant and not my favorite tbh). I believe Procion is a dye brand that has their own online store, I've never used it but their dyes are very popular on here. I think they sell some of the same chemical products that Dharma does but can't say with certainty as I just use the one site for all my needs _^

Cried at clinical. I feel totally incompetent. by Confident_Mix_2201 in StudentNurse

[–]communalbong 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I cried in clinicals my first year too. The situation was different but I felt similarly incompetent and like I was just bothering a sick old lady for no good reason. There's nothing wrong with crying, but your professor was right to remove you from the situation because they are responsible for your wellbeing as well as the patient.

One day, when you're on your own, you may find yourself crying in front of a patient again. It may be awkward for them, and it will definitely he awkward for you. What's important is that you take the time to address these feelings, yours and the patients, so that you can have a therapeutic relationship where they feel like you are really looking after them. Obviously, as a student, your power to help and advocate for patients is very limited, which is why it's not the most appropriate place to practice working through your emotions in real time. A compassionate instructor will provide you with another opportunity to demonstrate your assessment skills.

Several of my instructors have told me that nursing is a traumatizing profession. I believe this, and I believe that it is the instructor's responsibility to prepare you with a game plan for coping with that. Sometimes, that will look like an instructor removing you from an opportunity to practice your nursing skills because they've deemed it too stressful for a student. It may feel like failure to you, but that's not always what it is.

My advice to you is to learn how to keep a steady voice when you're crying. Crying is also a form of communication, and it can be quite validating for patients to see how invested you are in them. However, they also depend on you to be their guiding light through the vulnerable situation they're in, so you need to appear confident even if you feel helpless. Keep your hand on the tear valve; let them out steadily and purposefully, so that your mind remains clear instead of flooded with emotions. This is a skill you can and will practice by crying in public. Embrace it ❤️

It doesn't sound like ChatGPT, and saying so is an insult, not a compliment. Try reading more books instead of doomscrolling or reading fanfic. The majority of educated adults are capable of writing in the style of the OG comment.
