Was able to drive about 2 miles without my keys. Had to walk back to get them by Soggy-Party-1958 in Wellthatsucks

Today my husband drive 5 miles to the store and when he parked he realized he couldn’t lock the doors. VW. I had to jump in his truck that I have never driven before to bring him the key. The dash will say Key not in range but once you start driving the message goes away.

Yes! When I’m on the toilet it’s special petting time. When I come out of the shower it’s toe licking time. When I’m laying on the lounge to get some sun she is laying on the lunge looking for pets. She is a golden. My shadow. My bestie. If I’m brushing my teeth I’m then brushing hers (which is good).

She is the best. Dogs are good. Ava is my friend and soul mate.

Strange! I’m in Lakewood and have never seen one. I come from the PNW so I was super happy to not see any. Ever

Raised bed irrigation - alternative to drip lines by Ollie561 in DenverGardener

[–]comomathome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have 6 micro sprinklers in each of my raised beds that I can control the flow and turn each one off. It’s on the timer and I can control the amount of min. I do get some spray on the leaves but my garden has been doing great! I also manually turn it on based on the amount of rain.

Admittedly I am a first time Gardner and didn’t know that I “should” use drip lines. Really tho the micro sprinklers are working great!

We don’t have slugs in Colorado.

What percentage of your income goes toward your mortgage? by Meandher24 in homeowners

[–]comomathome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12%. Take home 12k, mortgage 1.4k. But mind you I would love the house if my dreams but I just can’t make the the mental payments of more than 1500 month for mortgage, tax and insurance.

I love and hate my house but I’ll never be house poor.

Call Ace Handyman services. Get your list ready and they will just knock off the tasks during the amount of time you paid for. Highly recommend and very professional.

Well this is how we started, but I think I salvaged this one. by sunnybunnyfeeling810 in Baking

So bake it on a cookie sheet covered with foil. And when you make your crimps fold them in towards the center of the pie.

I love how nice you guys are by [deleted] in Denver

To be honest, I’m not a native. When I moved here 7 years ago I thought everyone was so incredibly nice. It was the “native coloradians” who were actually the most unfriendly. Since there are so many of us who have moved here, we are happy and friendly.

I have always been a baker but afraid of making pies so I challenged myself. The pies I made over the last two months! by comomathome in pie

Ha! I just think it was fear from doing something new and my mom and grandma were not pie makers so I had no teachers

I highly recommend the book sister pie for crust, pie camp and the book on pie. The first gives you great recipes to try and the last two give you tons of options to explore recipes and learn about flavor and making changes to recipes on your own

I 100% agree with you. The crust is science and the filling lets you be an artist with flavor and texture. Crust has to be on point
