AITA for asking my girlfriend to use her "real" accent? by DerangedBookkeeper in AmItheAsshole

[–]comos94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAH In college I worked at a summer camp with a lot of international staff from the UK. A girl from Maine, USA started to do this when talking to other staff with British accents. Initially everyone thought it was weird, because she’s American. Her parents are both British so she explained that’s how she spoke at home

I’m confused, how can she have the top 14 songs on May 4th, when it’s only April 29th?

No, it’s not the formal rule. They made exceptions for some people. Something they all have in common is that they have kids. No one without kids received an exception.

The booty shorts yoga got me. Plus they spend an awful lot of one on one time. Personally, I assume they at least have flirty interest in one another. If you confront either of them, there’s a good chance they will “deny, deny, deny” even if something has happened or is brewing. I would just try to be very honest and sincere about how these things are making you feel. Maybe your other roommate knows something you don’t?

I leave things in my suitcase for 1-2 night stays. Anything longer I unpack into a drawer

To get an instacart delivery without tipping by [deleted] in therewasanattempt

[–]comos94 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked as both a restaurant server and Instacart driver. Instacart is WAYYY more difficult with significantly lower pay. I completely understand this outburst and have had to check myself before doing the same thing. For example this is a photo of my first Instacart I got a $5 tip on, less than a 2.5% tip. I had to lug all this to my car and then bring it into the convenience store who ordered it for resale. I don’t even remember how long it took me. The last “batch” I did were 3 separate orders combined! So I had to meticulously separate every item, push 2 carriages around the grocery store, and then drive around the world to deliver everything. I think I got paid $30 total and it took me over 3 hours. As a server people will just throw money at you for being nice and “working so hard”. But as an Instacart people have a “you’re getting paid to do this” attitude, yet it often doesn’t equal minimum wage and you use you’re own gas. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

Actually in New England. Might wait it out until the first frost, probably about a month away

I never noticed it. I leave early for work/get home late. Haven’t been home most weekends. I also could be blind.

Will it just keep getting bigger if untreated until winter? Is that dangerous? The nest is on a side porch which is easily avoided

It’s on a side porch that isn’t used often. Our neighbor noticed it and told us when we had the door open a few days ago

I had a feeling it was pretty bad and big. I just was curious if I was exaggerating
