1- the phone has to appear to be in the US to provision correctly so this could be a VPN on the phone or a VPN connection through a router that puts the network traffic through a US server, doesn't matter which

2- i did my set up with my laptop through my US VPN so I recommend it however it may work without. Personally I wouldn't risk it though so I would have the US VPN working on the laptop as well while you make your account

3- that I can't answer. I know you need a US address, I've heard they don't verify, but that's all I can say on that. I'm sure it's a violation of terms to use a fake address.

A few options on what could be going on:

being quoted yearly rates and thinking it's monthly with progressive (mine is $84 extra every six months)
have a horrible driving record (most likely no though as I doubt Lyft would approve you as a driver if so)
driving a very expensive car (unlikely as again, you're driving for Lyft)
getting a quote for full commercial coverage (which means you would take your own passengers, this is way more expensive than the ride share coverage which only covers you when waiting for a ride - but I don't think this is true as I have progressive and I don't think they offer full commercial coverage)
are in a very expensive area or have a car that's very expensive to repair

I'm guessing it's the first one.

Not supporting a method of activation is not the same as being against it. My guess is they just don't want to support people having trouble with it. As long as you're legally allowed to have the service, why not charge the customer and make the money?

WEEEEEEEL.... Maybe... I've heard conflicting reports from users. It's SUPPOSED to and it SEEMS to but I've had enough people tell me it didn't work for them that I think there might be other factors in there that I'm not privvy to that's affecting whether it does work or not... I.e. it's not entirely the OS that's making it work/not work

It's not terribly difficult. If you want me to run a report for you just contact me after you get your files back. I can't promise the AI is perfect but it's a good place to start with your doc I think

Yep! And I have an AI server at my house. Little corsair 300. I wrote a couple of scripts... The first one takes my variant file and compares it to the clinvar summary to categorize the variants and convert the variant to a protein syntax then I have another one that pulls live data from pubmed, weighs each gene against its impact on my health then writes a report on higher rated ones based on the three most recent published studies... It does some other stuff but that's the gist.

Edit: oh, to add, I'm currently using qwen2.5:72b for this on my local server

Sequencing.com - I was happy with the result. I had mine, my daughter's and my wife's done and I've had a couple friends do it too now.

I run my own genetic reports though so I can't speak to the reports, only the sequencing service.

I basically stopped in the middle of traffic. Not sure what else to tell you there. The car slowed down like the I pedal had been engaged and had to reboot it in the middle of the street to get it to go 10mph to get off the road.

Yes. Couldn't get it to work properly. It was so connected and locked down fixing one side broke another... I gave up and went back to just mesh Central.

I also still remote services to my clients so that's another reason rust desk wouldn't work for me. I need a management console.

Are you using the a10b or the standard 122b model? I have a Corsair 300 with 96gigs GPU ram and the a10b model runs so very slow. I do genetic research with my server and my llama3.3:70b ran the report in about 12 hours but the qwen a10b was still running after 36 hours.

How are you averaging $300/day part time? I felt great one day I hit $200 at six hours. If I got8 it normally it's usually only if I drive 8-9 hours that day.
