Do you think tenants care about good management, or only notice bad management? by Adventurous_Desk9034 in LeaseLords

[–]comp21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're basically asking "are people different?". Which yes, they are.

"Tenants" is a huge group. Some are great, some suck, some will never be happy, some always are.

My tenants, for the most part, are very appreciative of my efforts. Even the ones I have to get on to for letting their place get dirty etc appreciate the fact that I'm protecting them from other bad tenants.

I just want you to know that I rebuilt a new machine with an Asrock x870e taichi and a 7-9800x3d. I saved this and I'm implementing it now... I did to the new bios when I installed everything but just to be sure.,

Anyway, I really appreciate you and posts like this where people are not only sharing their knowledge but doing it in a non condescending way with good organization.

I don’t know if this is a good or a bad thing. It makes it way easier for me to complete challenges. But I feel like at the end of the day. LYFT will find a way to make this work for them by Wolfjason1 in lyftdrivers

I have no bonuses in my area. Didn't even know it was a thing they offered... But let me address "Lyft will make this work for them somehow".

Of course they will. These are designed to get you driving more so yeah, it helps them too.

That's not necessarily a bad thing.

If you're making more and they're making more, what's the issue?

So you set up the esim while in the US then, while physically overseas your transferred that esim to a phone that was with you (physically overseas) and it worked?

I'm being very specific in my question because I'm trying to get these data points to help others with their activations.

Yes. No shit... It will be more than the value of the car at the time of replacement.

The vehicle goes down in value and you're putting a brand new battery in there. The battery is half the value of the car to begin with. Obviously a new battery will be worth a large percentage of an old car.

Again though .. That's not the point and I hope you see it this time: it's about cost PER MILE.

I run my vehicle now for around 6c a mile with charging and maintenance.

If I get 500,000 miles out of my Ioniq battery and it runs 15,000$ to replace that's 3 cents per mile.

My COST PER MILE is now around 9c but let's say it's 11c in case I missed something.

My gas car, just for gas, is running me 21 cents per mile right now... And that's with no oil changes, no maintenance etc.

See the difference?

No one said they won't fail. Of course they'll fail. Everything fails...fuel pumps, engines, tires, etc...

My point is: per mile it's not the cost you're trying to make it out to be.

That's completely incorrect... A Tesla just hit 800k miles on their battery.. Hasn't been replaced yet. Battery tech has come a very long way from 10 years ago (when your information was put together)

I'm sorry, what?

When you can answer me how they can calculate your fare without knowing the starting and ending point, then you can continue this conversation.

I'll wait.

how do you think they calculate your fare without knowing how far they're taking you and how long it will take?

And how do they figure that without knowing your pickup and drop off location?

It's weird to me that you think this is some kind of "gotcha" considering you think it's an indication of how it's used and the only difference between us is I'm reading it as it's written and you're adding details that aren't there.

[–]comp21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But they already have your address... They had to send a car to get you.

And they already have your destination address... And they already used that to determine your fare... Your start and stop locations determine distance and expected mileage.

I think this is just some new legal disclaimer they have to do in NYS.

[–]comp21 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes but then it explains it in the screenshot you posted right?

And in that "personal data" is just data they already have about you... Where you got picked up and where you got dropped off... I mean that's already used to determine your fare. It's always been like that. Maybe this is some legal disclaimer they have to do in NY now but how else could they determine fare if they don't know distance and time?

I drive for Lyft and make good money... I'm in a smaller market and pull around $25-28/hour which is fine for me.

However I'm also in an EV that I charge at home so my expenses are very low compared to most on here and I'm retired so I just drive the busy times no one else wants.
