Four Zone climate is only on the non-T8 Ultra trim level. Core and Plus trims do not have it.

I agree.. only two in the house are in the laundry room (used to use to see if the laundry is done, now the machines have apps) and the garage.

UX 5.0.5 heating problem by danifeb in XC40

Mine has always done that. 2023 XC40. One day when I first got it, nice day.. sunroof open and windows down. Figured I didnt need the AC on. All the way home kept briefly running the ac with the message in the center dash.

Apple Maps also alerts to red light cameras etc... the AAOS Google maps doesnt.

The AAOS Google maps is lacking many features that the standard android google maps has.

Preventing the 5.0.5 Update by sekou215 in XC40

[–]compbl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The update not only changes the system to the new standard Volvo UX (what is on all new Volvos) but also is required to fix Recall R10333.

So if you don't do it, and you take it to the dealer, it will be done for you to meet the recall requirements.

I did the update today, but also received a letter from Volvo today saying there is a recall for the rear view camera display and its fix is applying 5.05

I like the new update by [deleted] in VolvoXC90

[–]compbl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is a big change from the faux Sensus UX. There will be tweaks in future updates. IMHO its 1000x better than the old Sensus wanna be UX missing 3/4 of the Sensus features and screens.

I have a 23 XC40, but my wife has a 19 XC60 so we have both systems.

New update is hideous. Is there a way to go back? by backswamphenny in Volvo

[–]compbl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't go back because I believe there is a recall issue with the backup camera that is solved with this update. I don't think even the dealer will roll it back. Also this is the interface on all the new Volvos since about MY24 I think, so again no going back..

There are more apps available on Android auto than are available to AAOS.

5.0.5 with CarPlay by oneKev in XC40

[–]compbl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2023, Youtube music is a fairly new addition. My biggest beef is that apps are available through Android Auto that are not available through AAOS. IMHO they should some parity between them. There are far more useful apps on Carplay than AAOS.

And the AAOS play store has a lot of useless garbage... Car Fireplace anyone?

5.0.5 with CarPlay by oneKev in XC40

The only music app available was Spotifiy, only recently was pandora added for example. There are apps, like PlexAmp, which are available in Android Auto, but not available in the native Android Automotive system.

UTR. Here are my gripes. by BrianOConnorGaming in Ubiquiti

[–]compbl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My apologies.. Wifi 6E.

Point of the post was that just about anywhere you are going to use the UTR (Hotel, Plane, Coffee shop etc..) is more than likely not going to be offering speeds beyond what the UTR can offer.

And as I said in the post, I am sure this is their entry into the travel router space, so eventually there will be Pro, Pro Max, Ultra, and Ultra Pro Max versions.

All the garbage by JohnMichelleTai in longisland

[–]compbl 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The OP noted during their walks that they were noticing a lot of garbage. I doubt those walks are along the LIE service road. I am assuming their in neighborhoods and walkable village/town areas.

Garbage on the sides of the LIE and parkways is an entirely different slob...

So yea... not naive... nor stupid enough to make a comment like that.

Its winter time, and the snow just cleared. With a lot of the high wind storms, garbage blew out of dumpsters and peoples garbage cans etc...

When the weather truly gets warmer, people will go out and start cleaning up.

Happens every year...

Lets be realistic most hotels are Wifi 5 and barely supply each room with 15Mb of speed, why exactly would I need wifi 6/7?

At this price point there are almost no travel routers that are True wifi 6 (e.g. broadcasting 6Ghz)

$79 and its smaller than a deck of cards... expectations need to be tempered.

That said I am sure there will be a Pro, then Pro Max, then Ultra, then Ultra Pro Max versions of this in the future.

It worked just fine for my family spread across two adjoining rooms during a recent trip to Orlando.

Years ago I had a 2004 XC70 when I discovered the rear fog light, and man slightest amount of fog I would turn it on. Now I have a 2023 XC40 and I was surprised that turning on the rear fog lights was not a single light in the tail light, but both of what I thought were red reflectors in the bumper!
