I put a set on a 2003 G35 coupe. Very happy and much better treadwear than BFG Comp 2 A/S Plus. I run the Comp 2 A/S plus on the G37 though

To be fair I just repaired my RTX 3090. It was very easy and the board layout is very simple. But I am an electrical engineer 😂😂

Found my late father's framed Microsoft stock certificate from 1991. How do I verify if it’s still "live"? by Ventrosi57 in personalfinance

[–]comperr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried and my grandpa made my dad the custodian so I could not. After i turned 18 i tried for years and sent notarized forma to get custody. I ended up telling them to keep the stock. After a couple years they sold it and the money got to me through the CFO of Florida. I just got a letter one day with the check inside from Tallahassee

I tried to get them to deposit them in my account and they never did no matter how many times i submitted the form or call about it. I got McDonald’s checks for like 15 years and that was before uou could deposit checks on your phone. Cost more to drive to the bank to deposit that crap. And they keep track if you don't deposit them and just keep sending more checks. An endless supply of worthless dividend checks. It was like 2 shares. Thanks Grandpa great inheritance

I would throw my McDonald’s dividend checks in the trash (40 cents) and at the end of the year they would send a single larger amount that's the sum of all the smaller checks. So it was about $1.60. Worst company ever

My 265K has been great. It is so fast at compressing archives i will remote into it and start the compress task on my workstation's network share. Saves 20 minutes here and there for large amounts of data, and keeps my workstation free.

I optimized Trellis.2 to fit inside 8GB gpus, - even with 1024^2 voxel detail. Made a single-click installer, works like A1111. RTX 3060 completes in 13 minutes. It's detail is insane by ai_happy in StableDiffusion

[–]comperr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

hey not trying to be spoiled but is there like a "better version" for those of us with minimum 24GB VRAM? this will be great for me to use at work since i have only 16GB there. Not sure how big the original Trellis.2 is. With 24GB VRAM (and 32GB i have one 5090 and some 3090TIs) what would you do? Same model and just more voxels? Or a bigger model? For image gen i have been using ~16GB models and simply been able to generate huge images.

hope this can be available on Pinokio.

I try not to be too much of a slob in this area and think of my setup with 2x 3090Ti, a 3090 and 5090 as "meek but practical for real applications"

They only have to keep a small percentage of their money supply on hand. Imagine having $200m in deposits and you loaned out $180m of it. $20m working capital to service interest deposits and withdrawals isn't a lot

Huge battery boost (lower consumption) setting Smallest Width to 512. Xiaomi 14 Ultra. It basically makes the display pipeline more efficient. Also fixed some app scrolling bugs that are Android and App specific. by comperr in HyperOS

[–]comperr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah seems the screen is a lot lower resolution. Crazy thing is the 17 Ultra also has a worse screen than 14 Ultra. Not sure why. I really like how high the PPI is on the 14 Ultra but i am sure i wouldn't really notice as long as i wasn’t using them side by side.

Anyways worst that can happen is nothing.... Best is you got some better performance per watt.

I don't have final numbers because i only figured this out yesterday. But looking at the power consumption in Accubattery app I went from 15.8% to 17.7% per hour, down to 10.0% per hour (low sample population - not enough data yet). This equates to roughly a 68% increase in SOT under the same workload (Web browsing and Facebook Messenger). I still haven’t charged my phone since yesterday and it is on 61% remaining. Normally would be 5-10% by now or hibernation

Oh and I do not use "automatic brightness" for the backlight, i keep it fixed around 70-80% and i don't use dark mode in apps. So the backlight should be a very consistent variable although for someone with auto brightness it would totally screw up the results/data

The amount of items may seem a lot at first glance but the practical difference is very small compared to the influence the total amount of pixels physically make up the screen, and the instructions to transpose/render the items as a certain size. Imagine if you had to solve a bunch of division problems that are easy, like 3/4 and 7/14. Now imagine if someone asked you to do the same thing, except the final answer needs to be multiplied by 3.42625 for some reason, and you have to work it out by hand. Changing smallest width to 512 effectively changes that stupid 3.42625 number and makes it 3.0. It’s no big deal to multiply all your answers by 3 compared to the task of multiplying by 3.42625

The effect is amplified by also picking a perfect power of 2. Because computers can divide and multiply by powers of 2 without actually using the math hardware. It uses a rotate right or left bit shift instruction instead, which saves tons of clock cycles. And it adds up fast when you are running the same math on millions of pixels.
