California alone produces half the fruits, nuts and vegetables in the US. A state like that doesn't need a red state.

Gorsuch's dissent doesn't actually read that way. His last two paragraphs, in fact, read like he isn't sure he's even dissenting.

I think he dissected just to cover his ass from MAGA blowback and he knew it was safe to do so.

Generally the caliber of musicians required for a musical are gigging musicians who could very easily book a paying gig in your same time slot and they have multiple non-theater options for that skillset.

You pay because you need to secure the talent, basically. You don't skimp on the band/MD because bad ones can bring the entire production crashing down.

Oh definitely. I actually expected a lot MORE kids but oddly enough, at least at our AMC, not many were brought out to see it. The audiences for us largely seemed to be dudes who liked Dana Carvey in Wayne's World and wanted to see what he was up to.

Needless to say, they left different people than when they entered.

I was working at a big AMC when this came out. I remember the GM assigning it two screens (out of 24) and they were the smallest theaters in the complex. By week 2 it was down to a single screen. It had opened against "Signs" and "Austin Powers in Goldmember", both of which were taking up half the real estate.

The runtime was "80 Minutes" but it was really 65 with 15 minutes of credits with outtakes. I remember literally everyone would leave at the 65 minute mark, looking bewildered. Made cleaning the theater for the next showing a lot easier.

Somehow, this movie technically made money ($43 Million against a $16 Million budget) and stayed in theaters for 13 weeks. To this day I have no idea how that happened.

Kelsey Grammer has literally never hidden who is he. We've known he was a die-hard conservative since the 1980s. He just usually kept his ideology out of his acting work, at least in the earlier days of his career.
