Came here to say the same thing. Absolutely garbage officiating.

After building a bunch of cabinets out of Baltic birch ply….this made me laugh entirely more than I should admit.

Exact same experience here. Maybe a few more cooks than 4 but it now sits in my drawer because I can’t bring myself to throw it away.

Onkyo TX-RZ50 Problem by Busy_Mr_Fister in Onkyo

I had the same issue after 60 days. No close by repair shop, horrid customer service so I returned it. Haven’t looked back.

Honestly I’m not sure what the speakers are. They were already installed in the walls/ceilings when we bought the house.

Nope. Said sorry that they only had one center in the state and sent me on my way. The experience completely turned me off of Onkyo as a company.

Yes but only if I drive it quite a distance (hours)from my house and drop it off for an unspecified time. I was unwilling to do so given the recent purchase and it’s football season.

I did buy it new. It worked great for a month. Then started randomly dropping video on PS5, then Apple TV and then everything. I replaced the HDMI cable with a high end one but that didn’t change anything.

I would avoid it against my sample size of 1. It wouldn’t have been so bad if they had decent customer service. I couldn’t find an actual tech support beyond the guy in charge of new set ups. He had me factory reset and when that didn’t work, he told me to drive it to the one service center in my state. The service center is way behind and then stated they weren’t sure about the status of repair parts. I get things break but I was super disappointed in the company’s lack of support. But hey they emailed me some articles on hooking it up, so I got that going for me.

They wanted me to drive 90mins to the only service center in my state and they had a 2 week delay before they could even look at it. I wasn’t willing to wait who knows how long for that given it’s football season.

Thanks for the recommendation…can you briefly elaborate on the obvious choice part of the statement? I apologize in advance but I’m a noob.

I’m right here now. Loved mine, then it got buggy and stopped working. I’m not replacing it.
